Hi SMB1988,

I do not get the shortsum method for 6766 or 6522. How do arrive at the number of shortsum 5? 6+7=13+6=18+6=24 or 6+5=11+2=13+2=15. Am I doing something wrong? Please explain in detail. I think 6522 was the result of shortsum 15 correct?"
Made a caculation error there.
6766 --> 6 + 7 + 6 + 6 = 25 --> the shortsum is 5 (the last significant digit, some people call it i believe)
6522 --> 6 + 5 + 2 + 2 = 15 --> shortsum 5
25 and 15 is the sume of the number.
Now, for the root, you would add up the digits in the sum: 25 --> 2 +5 = 7
15 --> 1 + 5 = 6
These are filtering methods. (Lantern is Da Man for filtering, his creativity for finding new filtering methods seems to be endless)
Now, anything in pick3 and pick4 (i have tested this over and over and over again) i consider "missing" when it has a skip that reaches 7 to 8 times the value of its average skip.
I rarely play those anymore. (Califdude learned me some valuable lessons, and he didn't have to do anything for that, i just read his posts and i still consult his picks in the prediction-board each day)
But, when something reaches a skip of 10 times the value of its average skip, it might be time to jump in on it.
Not so very long ago in TX eve, the frontpair 47 did not hit for 1000 draws. This only happened twice before, nationwide. 17 draws later it came in. Those are gifts! (playing the online payouts, one should play 47X for 90 draws, $900, and then it would be disaster lol.
For shortsums however, i've learned the hard way when one was missing badly in IL. It stayed away far longer than i ever expected, and that is when i started searching for extremely high shortsum-skips. Highest one i found was, i believe, 118 draws in Pick3 and 107 in pick4.
This one in TN was out 119 draws.
In pick3 there are 22 boxed numbers per shortsum, and in pick4 there are 70 boxed numbers per shortsum (well, shortsum 5 has 70 i guess)
The free wheeling engines will ease things up to know all this. (one will then also see that shortsum 5 has no double-doubles in pick4)
Talk later, i'm off again, watching second period of Brazil - France (0-1, whoohoo, go France!!!!!!!)
Greetz
