Nice sign, Jack....

I saw this on the signpost at the Western Sizzlin steakhouse in Pooler, Ga TODAY :

Fried Shrimp Dinner- $7.99

Add shrimp - $2.99

...DD

Got a laugh out of me on that, but I had to read it twice before it happened.

Good one.

Jack

Me too.... Yes, please let me add shrimp to my shrimp dinner !!!

We don't make this stuff up, folks.....

One more quick one from the road sign category ...

There is a cemetary at the end of this particular street--

You guessed it ---- the road sign leading in says  Dead End.

...DD

    Another good'un.

After watching you attempt to explain odds on some of the threads recently I think you might appreciate this one:

Absorb the good, ignore the bad, weigh the ugly.

    It's about number behavior.

    Egos don't count.

I picked by mail, which is not exactly true. As the USPS can not carry lottery tickets, so much for a free market, the Massachusetts Lottery send them by UPS. I also play the UK lottery by subscription, the Royal Mail has no problem delivering them.

Didn't you hear? They've got to protect us folks from destroying ourselves with sinful gambling.....she writes as she digests some yummy tetrafluoroethylene and perfluorooctanoic acid after cookin' up a tasty omelette in her Teflon frying pan.

It would be a shame to lose us.

At least not permanently. But a few years in the slammer wouldn't hurt.

I buy my tickets at convenience stores.  There's a Circle K right around the corner from me and there's another chain store on the way home from work.  I go to these places for tickets because I can be in and out fast.  The two major supermarket chains, Winn Dixie and Albertsons, do sell tickets too but every time I go there to buy them, it takes them a long time.  At Winn Dixie, I often have to wait for someone to actually return to the customer service counter to sell me tickets.  Albertsons isn't much better.

However, if I get a big winning ticket and the convenience store doesn't have enough in the register to cash it, I will go to one of the supermarkets to get it cashed just because they have the money on hand.

I've never bought tickets online or through the mail as I always thought under most circumstances it wasn't legal, other than with the new Massachusetts Lottery subscription service.  The only game I'd want to play with them is MegaMillions, which they can't sell out of state subscriptions to by phone or online.  Guess I'll have to actually go there to buy them one of these days.

It's about 50/50 between the grocery store and gas station.

I like online play alot (altough im not quite of age to play online yet, i like the promise of it), so i have a numbers lady, a rare breed nowadays but if it wern't for her i wouldn't have hit the 2 times i alrdy did :). i can get as low as 5 cents a pick on p3 or p4 this way instead of paying a dollar a pick and only playing in one state.
