  i like them and i hope they never go away. i use them in my blog all the time and it helps me to express how i feel. i wish there were more to choose from. i am hoping the hammer was a vote for the positive for the emoticons.

  Yes, DD, I was thinking about that too.  I think they are cool. On a selfish note, I'll have DSL next week so my pages are going to load faster and graphics won't have as much of an effect.  I had no choice since I'm doing a little work from home and nobody would even consider me without DSL or cable.  Starting out with 1.5mbps for $24.95 which is part of a phone service bundle with Sprint (now Embarq)  Cable is a little too expensive ($45.99 plus  tax) in my neighborhood. Wish there was more competition around here. Been waiting for SBC Yahoo or Qwest for years. If I need more speed, I can upgrade to 3.0mbps for another $10 on the same contract. I bet 1.5 will blow me away after using dialup for 9 years.
