Morning Steve....  did a quick eye scan on the eve. states and used the 3 longest out Sums to check against last nights results.

Looks as if about 1/3 hit.

GA, TN, CT, KS, MI,MO,NE, NM,OH,OT,QE,VA,DC,  all hit with 3 most out sums in those particular states.

Will be very interesting to see how these do over a 3 day period.

A couple of these states have some really ....looooong out sums! I think the World Record out sum is something like .... 63 draws? Doesn't really matter... I think the average for the top Stinkers is around 60 ...so a couple of these could be had pretty soon.

The only real failure .....is the failure to try.

Luck is a very rare thing....... Odds not so much.

Odds never change .....but probability does.

Winsumloosesum: "What if you track Consecutives - Evens - Odds Pick 3 combos as a group."

This is an interesting idea!  I've tracked the individual groups before, but never all three groups as one.  I compiled some historical/statistical data from the draw histories of Ohio, Michigan and New Jersey.  The results speak for themselves and every state should follow in a similar fashion.

Take a look at the skip intervals and the percentage of total hits they account for.  This may help you decide when a good time to play is.

One important thing to notice is the percentage of hits for the skip intervals that fall between 1 thru 4.  In all 3 states over 50% of the hits came within 4 games of the last time one of the 180 hit.  This could be a possible strategy if your playing the group in more than one state.  Say 2 states hit on the same day/game, there is about a 75% chance that at least one of them will hit again within 4 draws in one of those two states.  Or how about three states...If three states hit on the same draw then there is a 87.50% chance that at least one of those states will have another hit within the next 4 games.

There are many strategies that could be devised, maybe some of this info will help.

Odds- Evens - Consecs (OEC Group)

It would be interesting to see when 3 or more states have NOT hit any any of the 3 as a group at 20 or more drawings.

The key is there must be 3 or more states at 20 or more drawings out.

Okay...now I am confused. I liked Thoth's idea of combining the three groups. Does that give us 180 total numbers or just 60 boxed combinations?

I thought maybe using that entire group would come up at least within 4 draws. You could take a group like that and play it until it is past 4 draws out and then stop when you get 4 consecutive misses. Pick it back up again after another hit, using a progression and then really make them pay!

Nevermind...it is 180 Straight combos...I see now. Man I am a dope sometimes. I do like that strategy though.

The key is there must be 3 or more states at 20 or more drawings out.

WSLS, testing such an event with real results would be a very tedious undertaking, but i can tell you how the probabilities add up and I'm confident that this is how any real life occurrence of the situation would pan out...

The odds or probability of the OEC group of 180 numbers actually making it out as far as 20 draws is less than 2% (1.8892%), so actually finding this in one state is going to be rare to begin with—let alone 3 states simultaneously.  However, if you track all states there will be times when this does occur.  When it does happen, here are some of the odds/probabilities of hitting:

Suppose 3 states have all went exactly 20 games each without an OEC hit, the probability for OEC to hit in at least one of those states WITHIN the next 5 games is 94.904%.  Actually, each individual state has its own 62.926% chance of having an OEC hit within those 5 games, but if you are counting on only one of the 3 to hit then it jumps up to the 94.904%.

To up that percentage, you can play/watch for the next 7 games with a 98.45% chance of hitting at least once in one of the states.  Each state by itself has a 75.071% chance of OEC hitting within 7 games.

Of course you could plan on playing for ten consecutive games, in which case the probability of at least one hit it one of the 3 states is 99.740% or 86.255% individually.

Note that while those figures assume that OEC is out exactly 20 games in all 3 states, it doesnt really matter if one state is out 20, another out 22, and the third out 26, etc.  As long as you play/track each state for the mentioned amount of games then the probabilities should all hold true.

P.S. ......cps10, it was actually winsumloosesums idea of combining the three groups Cool

If there is a risk of the draws going out 46, that could be a risky financial venture. Aren't each of these groups supposed to hit every 17 draws? Usually my benchmark is at least 3 times average, but that would bring us to 51, which is past the max that we've seen, correct?

The North Carolina Education Lottery - so much a joke that here are their mascots:
