I hope my word is good here at LP.

Winning #'s: 3-5-23-35-36-42

one of my :    3-17-22-33-34-50

As you can see I predicted there was going to be a repeat (5 & 42)

As you can also see I predicted there was going to be a pair (35-36. Unfortunately I predicted 33-34 & 25-26)

GOOD LUCK TO ALL

Nothing wrong with your word.... you're not saying, "I cracked the code on the Pick 6 and have been hitting....yada yada."

I'm pretty sure you're also not playing 20,000,000 combinations and hitting one for $3,000,000 and telling us, "I won! I won!"

Oddly, most of my misses like the one you show above have been via QP's- I've even thought of playing a qP as a "base" and then dancing around those number with a + 1 and -2 or something.

Maybe you should add that kind of "fudge factor" to your numbers and see what happens.

I think lots of people are forgetting one important fact:

The Jackpot is not hit every night.

Sometimes it goes weeks or months without getting hit, therefore a QP is no better than a 'system', in that respect.

The ONLY thing I hope to accomplish by picking numbers myself is to simply avoid certain scenarios:   I don't want certain numbers that mimick the prior few games, I don't want a ticket where 3 of the numbers are decided 'longshots', I don't want a ticket with numbers like 1-2-3-13-17 (which I was dealt once).

As has been said ad nauseum: your chances of winning a jackpot are 1 in 144 million - regardless of if it is a QP or a 'system', they are still 1 in 144 million.  On a TV show tonight, a guy said 'your chances of getting killed on the way to buying a lottery ticket are 3 times better than the chances of you winning the lottery'.   Actually, I think they are more like 1 in 50 million, or 8 times better.

70% of all tickets sold are QP's, 70% of all winning numbers are picked via QP, therefore, there is no reason NOT to think if 50% of all tickets sold were QP's to think that 50% of the winners would also be via QP.

Yeah, but even after a spell like that, very often when it does get hit, that hit is a quick pick!

I agree CT - I even do that some times if am at a loss - I will pick the 1st, 2nd and the last # and will QP the other 3 - even though that doesnt help a majority of the time.

I also agree with the other post - more chance of getting killed in an accident before winning the lottery. Well all that should do is give us hope - b/c there still is a chance.

It varies for all people - some like getting QP's - some do not. I personaly do not b/b I dont like getting the craziest set of #'s you can imagine (which sometimes does win) but I find it more fun to do what i am doing than hoping that computer is the "one". With what I am doing - I know I am close every week - just have to hope to be lucky.

            FL Lott (10-21)

As of now: (it's still early)

            1st# ODD (Single)

2nd#ODD (Surpisingly enough - single again)

Last # (stuck - going with ODD 45,49,51,53)

I am guessing there will be a pair again (single decade or 20 decade)

I am also guessing a repeat again (3 or 36)

            ODD (3 or 4)

            EVEN(2 or 3)

            GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

That, and I don't have enough time to fully explain what I mean.

I agree with your wife, 'luck' is the only 100% QP 'System'...

Every time I read a thread about QPs I remember the press release in FL when I man won a big jackpot. He said something like "I've been playing the same numbers for 15 years. I had a couple of extra dollars in my pocket, so I decided to buy 2 quick picks."  He won with the QP.  This isn't the first time I've read such an article. As I've written in the past, I believe every large jackpot in Florida has been won with a quick pick for quite a long time and most of the MegaMoney and Fantasy5 wins are also quick picks.  Today I checked the Fantasy5 and someone in MIAMI (of course) won with a quick pick. Surprised only one person won with 4-10-19-25-32

Still, I will play my personal numbers mainly out of "fear" that they will hit the week I buy only quick picks. If I had $5 to spend I might add some quick picks to my 4 tickets.  Still, I agree that millions of quick picks never hit either.  After all, there wouldn't be so many rollovers if they did.  Our State Lotto has rolled from $3M to $6M to $9M to $14M this time, and many times past $20M. Statistically more than 70% of the tickets purchased were quick picks, so you could use this to argue the opposite viewpoint, that they have no better chance of hitting as Coin Toss suggested.

Okay...I've been wondering this for a while.  Who and what is Psykomo and why do you/she/he always post like that?  Just wondering.

I have no idea, but I enjoy the comic relief he provides. Although I have to admit sometimes I want to have a stroke after reading his posts.

Lately I've been making a lot of typos, not spelling errors..just missing words, using wrong words, or not writing what I mean to say. My brain must be jumbled or running behind my fingers.  Anyway, I meant "if I had/wanted to spend an extra $5"  not if I had $5 to spend.  Maybe someday that will be the case, but if I didn't have $5 to spend when I got to the market, I wouldn't be spending it on lottery tickets. I'd buy food.

Remember "Sniglets" on HBO? It was a show about words that don't exist that should?  Someone here has got to make up a word for this, or a new phobia...."fear of your numbees hitting if you ever don't play them."

                        Maybe "lotteriusmynumbersstopophobia" or something!

                        "Digitalis didn't playis"

                         And how about this:

"Lottoinsomnia" - the inability to fall asleep because you won a jackpot and can't decide on annuity or cash option".

(This probably really happpens to people.)

OK, for that particular drawing the jackpot winners weren't quick picks, but what's the breakdown over the long haul.
