Even though the object of Sudoku is to insert the numbers in 81 boxes
to satisfy only one condition: each row, column and 3x3 box must contain
the digits 1 through 9 only once, Sudoku can be used to Win the Pick 3,
or better yet Sudoku Solver can be used to Win the Pick 3.

All you need to enter is the Last Draw (Midday-Midday, Evening-Evening)
to generate your Winning Combination! What could be simpler?

When it comes to digit 0 you need to use the mirror digit 5 when
entering the Last Draw, and the mirror of 5 to get combinations with 0
in them from the Generated Combinations.

Example:

Last Draw=907 Enter: 957

Generated Combinations taken from the 3x3 boxes in the horizontal
direction: (Combinations can also be taken from the 3x3 boxes in the
vertical direction or from the diagonal directions)

417 281 675 934 956 423 871 743 891 265

Take the Combinations with the digit 5 in them and substitute its
mirror for combinations with 0 in them:

120 016 109 093 307 032 670 906 260

The Winning Draw was 102!

Their are a number of Freeware Sudoku Solver Programs available on the
Internet. I've been using the one written by George Uhall:

How has it done in test so far? I guess the hit rate is higher than we would normally expect right?

Has it done better than 22% if 36 numbers are used .....or 16% if 27 single numbers are being used? The normally expected Math average hit rate for this many numbers played is pretty high .....so anything over and above that would be ......in the plus category right?

The only real failure .....is the failure to try.

Luck is a very rare thing....... Odds not so much.

Odds never change .....but probability does.

It's been hitting every other Draw, so what's that 50%?

You don't always wind up with 27/36 combinations, after you deflate the 27/36 combinations you have fewer combinations to play.

I was wondering about the 0's, short of keeping one from the previous night (other thread).

I'm not sure how to deflate combos, but it's a feature in the resources, right?

Since you're so good at converting the sudoku to this, have you ever toyed with another number game called kakuro? It hasn't caught on like sudoku has but it does involve adding two numbers and placing sums as oppossed to sudoku just using numbers as a symbol.

Kakuro:

Kakuro Information / How to play

Kakuro puzzles resemble crosswords which use numbers instead of words. The aim of the game is to fill all the blank squares in the grid with only the numbers 1-9 so that the numbers you enter add up to the corresponding clues. When the grid is filled, the puzzle is complete. Kakuro puzzle grids can be any size, though usually the squares within them have to be arranged symmetrically. As a rule of thumb, the more blank squares a puzzle contains, the harder it is, however this isn't always true, especially if it is a good quality puzzle.

NOTE: It is very important to note that a proper Kakuro puzzle has only 1 unique solution, and it will always have a logical way of reaching it, there should be no guesswork needed. Some websites advertise Kakuro puzzles which are broken and inferior, don't accept second best, Kakuro.com will always have quality puzzles.

Raven, how did you figure out to substitute a 0 for 5? Amazing, but it works! Been testing for CA. a little bit and usually the hit comes on the second and third day. Fantastic job!

In addition to Sudoku their is Killer Sudoku:

The rules for Killer Sudoku are simple. The rules for regular sudoku apply, with one additional rule: The sum of the cells in a cage must equal the total given for the cage. Each digit in the cage must be unique.

In day-to-day Lottery Activities one sees Picks where two digits match the drawn combination and the third digit missed, but is the mirror of the drawn digit. So I guess using the mirror of 0 with Sudoku Solver was based on observation and experience.

Thanks for your kind words: Here's hoping it makes you some \$\$\$!

First Left Click on that "LINK" it will take you to the link's web site, once there find the programs' download "LINK" and again with your "MOUSE" left click on it, a download dialog box will show up and click on save, make sure that you save it to your computer's "DESKTOP".

The program is a "ZIP" file so you will need to use an "UNZIP" utility program to "UNZIP it" a program such as WINZIP or 7ZIP or some other such, use GOOGLE the search engine to find with such a program a FREEWARE unzip program.

First go to the address space up on the browser and type

And then press the ENTER key on your keyboard once you see the GOOGLE BOX enter on it this:

freeware unzip program

Then press the enter key, it will show you site's links click on one of them and find and download an unzip program, then once downloaded find it and left click on it twice very fast, let it install on your computer, let it "Associate" itself with your ZIP FILE then left click 2 times very fast on the SODUKO zip file and unzip it somewhere try to make it unzip on:

C:\Sudoku

Once there find it and if there is an EXE file there, that is a file with an .EXE in the end of it click on it and just go  from there.

I really can't help no more on this, find LOCAL help, a friend or relative or go to a public library and ask for help from somebody there and or find a computer book there.

If you can't find help, let me know and ask me questions about what you need and or want to know.

Good luck.
