Sorry Im delayed in responding to when this original post started.

1: Philadelphia Park ( poor slot selections-seem to be recons from the days of yore.Penny slots are actually playable and fun to break even on)

2: delaware park. Getting harder to break even. Been there twice since Dec. Both times they got my money.

3: Midway. So so selection-action is on the dollar machines...

4: Each year I do Vegas, and break even if not ahead. Vegas is THE PLACE to find the lastest action on machines and to play the tables. Nothing compares! I prefer what is called the local casinos as they pay out better then the corporate run on the strip. My brother lives there so its easy to get his imput on where to game!

5: Ive stayed out of Atlantic City since May of last year. Rarely is it worth the gas and turnpike fees to loss even more money.

6: Looking forward to the Philadelphia Harrahs . Think I might head there next month to get some winnings!

Thanks for all the updates, gamegrl! I've always wanted to go to Vegas and will make it there one of these days. I've read a lot about what you said, that the local casinos are better. And how fortunate for you to have a brother there who can give you the inside scoop! Lucky YOU!

I like Harrah's in Laughlin. We get to stay there for 2-3 nights free. We have a local Harrah's at Rincon, but it does not have the same atmosphere. I like playing Keno, but no Keno in the CA Casinos. This one is only 10 miles from our house.

I was in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago for another purpose, but did hit some of the downtown casinos - Fremont, Fitzgerald's, Four Queens and a couple of others. Also stopped in Sunset Station in Henderson on the way home.

In doing the calculations for the Keno pages on my site I've found that Harrah's - in any market - generally has lower payout percentages than their competiton. I have a tendency to avoid them when gambling due to that.

                I've hit:

Las Vegas, Nevada - the strip is a lose & lose-a-lot situation

Dover, Delaware - Midway is okay & the main casino is fairly good

Cherokee, North Carolina - Harrah's is good

Oklahoma -  all kinds of casinos everywhere & they are all pretty good

Reno - CircusCircus !!!!!AWESOME!!!!! - BIG MONEY

                  @Johnph77

I concur with your Harrah's observations, I might add it's usually the least liked casino employer and they single handidly reversed the Rio's good fortunes with the locals.

                  Interested in keno applications-

How do I locate your keno site?

                  Thanks in advance.

My usual caveat - nothing to sell, no ads.

Some of the entries are in need of update. I have a limited amount of new information available but, as in the lottery page updates, time is a factor - there just isn't enough of it to get it done.

                      Hey John, many thanks-

Looks like a great deal of effort and time went into these sites; a wonderful resource for those inclined.

                      Best Wishes for success-

Decided to take a day trip this past Saturday to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, FL.

My wife and I have always been a fan of the Wheel of Fortune Dollar slots, but to say we were disappointed would be an understarement.

First, it was video rather than true reels. That itself wasn't too much of a problem, except for there were way too many paylines for our taste and the max bet was 45 credits. We are used to the simple 3 credit dollar WOF machines ..  Needless to say, we did not play them but found some 10 x pay dollar machines we liked.

I hit a nice payout on one and brought it home...

It depends on where you play and what you play.

The Keno payoffs at the Coast casinos (Gold Coast, The Orleans) are slightly higher than most and that does add up. For instance a 3-spot pays $45, a 4-spot pays $160, and a 6-spot pays $2000 compared to the $42, $125, and $1500 most casinos pay. The Station casinos link their Keno games together and have progressive 6-spot payoff that can be even higher.

Most people don't really look at the Keno pamphlets and don't know the many different playing strategies. Over 20 years ago a friendly Keno writer showed me why we should by explaining the benefits of playing way tickets and specials so I've been hooked ever since.

And by the way, I really appreciate those odds charts you made, John.
