I used to say no, but now I find myself using only the "new" quarters to scratch instant tickets. In my mind I feel it brings me good luck........
If no new quarter is available, a dime will do.
I Never use pennies or nickels.
I guess this qualifies as superstitious....

Double Down,you are hilarious! I only use quarters to scratch tickets with too.
I'm superstitious somewhat. You won't catch me walking under a ladder but when it comes to buying tickets and such, I never buy them at a certain time or place or anything.

I think most people are, at least somewhat, but at a place like LP where picking numbers is involved, more people will admit to it.

Where supersitions really abound are in gambling and sports.
I saw casino bosses do somethings you wouldn't believe, and in casinos, almost everyone is superstitious.
Sport magazine one time did an article on "Voodoo Football". It mentioned if a team won last Sunday, the following Sunday at breakfast everyone had to sit next to the same person, order the same breakfast, etc...
Baseball great Wade Boggs ate chicken before every game, his wife said he believed each chicken 'had so many hits in it'.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I never used to be, but it seems when I buy my tickets after 6pm the night of the drawing, I do a lot better, enough that I noticed a difference......

I voted no because as I believe...it doesn't matter WHAT you do...all what is important is THAT you play. And as I believe...

Get MONEY!!! Winning a JACKPOT lottery is one MIRACLE I desire for 2019!!! NOW come to my subconscious mind you 6 winning numbers!

Forgot to add.. Next time I go to a casino and hit the slots I will have my underwear on inside out.
When I got home and discovered that they were inside out the last time I went and played slots , I said what the heck... I'll try it again... After all, I hit for $6000.00 . who knows? couldn't hurt...

Not really. I don't make it a habit of playing the same numbers more than once (fortune cookie numbers or numbers off the top of my head). Also, if I get a bad feeling about the clerk, i'll play somewhere else.

I got my fingers crossed ready to win!!!

if the clerk is rude i wont play there again but i dont think of that as superstitious. i only play one set of numbers i picked the rest came from somewhere else or a quick pick because i have been wrong for so many years with my own picks that i just settled on one set for me and the rest from almost anywhere else.

I'm not sure. I won't buy a QP if someone cuts in front of me. I wonder if tripping the person and putting a curse on him/her with the evil eye is considered to be a superstition. LOL
