When I lived in Vegas people from out of state would call up and ask me to bet football games for them, not shy either -

"Could you puy $220 on the Chargers for me?" Sometimes they'd even say $550.

Las Vegans see through that kind of thing right away, if it wins they show up and want the money, if it loses, good luck. I never did make one of those bets for anybody.

I've had requests like that when people know I'm going to Vegas.

There is no problem when they hand me an amount of money and ask me to wager it on a specific football game, car race, or even Keno numbers, but when they say "bet it on anything" or don't give me the money upfront, I won't do it.
