In a recent trip to my regular 7-11 store to get my evening tickets, a gentleman who was blind used the atm. It printed his cash receipt out in braille and he questioned the clerk. Asked her why he was charged a fee for just checking his balance. I was totally in awe in that moment. The clerk politely answered that it was a new bank and they in essence charged the store so the store had to recoup the *rental* of the machine. The guy politely said he doubted he would use that machine again. So yes, despite persons beleiving you have to have eyesight to use the machine, the beep sounds and the braille keys are a necessity for those with hearing loss and eye sight impairment.
