Tonight winning numbers were: 06 09 11 18 27

06 11 27 30 34 05 08 14 22 04 10 17 20 23 25 28 38 01 02 03 12 21 29 31 36 07 24

I had 3 of the winning numbers and matched 2 x 2 for \$2

No one won so the jackpot rolled to \$499,000 and the chase continues with some modification to my system.

I won \$11.  Still not particularly impressive though since I spend \$16 a day on it...

It's likely today the RC5 jackpot will be won and probably not be this large again for a while so I may play more than ten lines.

Yesterday, I came across a freeware program Lotto Calculator that picked 23 numbers that had three winning numbers which was better than the 27 numbers I picked with three winning numbers.  When I tested it, it simply picked numbers from the previous six drawings.  With the RC5 file it showed it success in previous drawings as follows:
========
1 out of 5 = 109 draws
2 out of 5 = 332 draws
3 out of 5 = 426 draws
4 out of 5 = 284 draws
5 out of 5 = 57 draws
Note:  At least it showed the reason it picked numbers that way and how successful one could hope to be.

My program have the capacity to check that but I had never thought about it.  My program can also check for other parameters too so I will running some simulations with many different parameters before choosing a pool of numbers to pick my combinations from.  Good luck if you're playing RC5 too.

After all my past predictions on the prediction board, I thought I had a strategy in place ready to go when the jackpot was right, but it not working out that way.

So to make sure I understand... you're saying that program would have won the jackpot (5 out of 5) 57 times?  Out of how many total drawings?

And what is your "RC5 file"?  Obviously I missed a previous episode that explained what that is.

And here is a tidbit of information that you may or may not find useful.  For any given 5/39 game (including RC5), 87% of all the winning numbers drawn have had a hit within the past 10 drawings.  So going back 10 drawings rather than 6 may be useful.

Good luck!

I think I get it now (please correct me if I'm still wrong).  When it says:

"5 out of 5 = 57 draws"

It means that out of the pool of 22 (or whatever) numbers it gives you to play, the 5 winning numbers drawn were IN THAT POOL 57 times.  It doesn't mean it won the jackpot 57 times... just that it managed to get the 5 winning numbers in the pool of numbers it provides 57 times.

Is that correct?

Your last explanation was right, you may have all 5 winning numbers in a pool of 22 numbers but your odds of matching 5 is still 1:26,334.

I checked the previous 10 drawings for 1222 drawings of RC5 and only 288 had all 5 winning numbers and the pool sizes were 23-34 numbers.  One time on 04/07/08 none of the numbers in the previous 10 drawings were in the winning numbers.

I would like find a pool with 20-25 numbers that had all the winning numbers 25% of the time.

And what is your "RC5 file"?

In another thread I explained how I named my play files.   I used RC=Ohio Rolling Cash5, MM=MegaMillions, PB=PowerBall, CL=Ohio Classic Lotto and etc. as part of an eight character name the last six being the date.  For example file MM070808 is my MegaMillion play file for last night and RC070908 will be my Rolling Cash5 play file for today.

I can't believe it, no one won and it rolled to \$603,000
I'm in it for one time at least, good luck if you're play again tomorrow.

Heh, any jackpot that starts at \$100,000 would be "right" enough for me.

In neo-conned Amerika, bank robs you.
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be the name of a convenience store, not a govnoment agency.

I agree!  That's what I like about RC5... \$100,000 (\$72,000 after taxes) without completely ridiculous odds!  I can live with that...

It becomes more "right" for a lot more people when its jackpot rolls to \$600,000+ at those odds.

These were my picks for today 07/10/08.

07 11 15 21 30
04 06 22 27 36
02 10 14 23 32
03 08 12 17 37
05 20 24 29 34
01 09 11 24 37
01 17 27 30 31
09 15 23 29 36
10 12 22 26 38
03 05 14 25 31
04 20 21 28 32
03 11 26 28 30
04 12 21 29 37
02 20 22 36 38
01 15 26 28 32
06 14 23 24 38
08 10 25 27 31
11 12 17 22 34
03 05 15 25 36
02 06 24 27 31
05 06 20 29 38
01 17 21 30 34
04 14 23 25 37

I decided to conclude this jackpot chase by playing 23 lines.  (I'm assuming the jackpot will not roll again to over \$700,000?????).  I posted the first 10 lines on the prediction board earlier today.  My system has been tested as well as I have ever tested it and it didn't win much, so after tonight I will be re-evaluating it.  Good luck if you also played RC5 tonight.
