for your information in 1,000 years nor in 500,000 years from now you WILL NOT inhabit another planet, you will know that if you follow the latest development in astrophysicas and theoretical physics and see the current developments.... i want to proepop this planet  change it let my voice be heard so that the planet changes its behavior to help them get ready for what's coming ahead and stop partying too much..

and by the way in 4 million years from now we will not be here and it has nothing to do with Global Warming...

you crack me up.... you talk about needing more scientists. I say we will travel to other planets, baby steps at first and one day we will have a ship that will leave earth for a planet much like our own. Of course it will not be in our lifetime.

They are already planing to build a habitable living space on the moon it will most likely be a launching platform for space exploration. This will happen in this century.

Think whatever you want but one day we will travel to other planets and live on them.

four4me don't think i am getting to you, i am just writing this for the world to see...People think that were are going to go in baby steps and one day find a way to travel or move out of this planet...They forget that the series of step inventions that led us to where were are now were done purely accidentally or the right people at the right time involved...So if they think that were are just going to invent stuff in step that will lead us to finding a way to travel the vast distance stars in baby step they are mistaken....Example the wright brothers...I was looking at a show of them in the history channel and found out that they were in a competition and almost someone else was going to beat them to the design and use of other airplane, a little bit more and we wouldn't be traveling in the planes we are today...Just one good example that it was luck....

Believe me, i'll like us to travel the universe and i'll like to be there because this universe is so big and fascinating....

The one thing i can think of is if we prep ourself and find ways to change the weather and study the global weather in details...This way we could change the planet's weather and extend our staying on this planet for another 4 BILLION years instead of 4 million years....And this sounds like our best option...It will give us time to prepare enough to travel to other planets....And this is the best option because if we can change the weather and make all of Russia habitable and Africa habitable, we will have accomplish something great...A good chunk of Russia is no Habitable....

we have more challenges ahead of us, more challenges than what the U.S has, and it is imperative that the UNITED STATES REMAIN WHAT IT IS NOW AND FOR THE LONG DISTANCE FUTURE, FOREVER BASICALLY...A sentence Americans i don't think they understand...

If you look at how far we have come in the last 200 years as compared to the last 2000 years we have grew by leaps and bounds in every aspect of the word from technology to the food we eat. Everything we see before us is manufactured and it was science, physics and mechanical engineering that made it all happen.

We were destined to fly whether it be the Wright brothers or some other family. Just as we are destined to reach for the stars. And we are mapping the universe at this very moment we have space vehicles and telescopes looking in every direction for planets like ours, new space telescopes will be launched in this decade one might even be put on the moon.

More is known about the universe than the ocean. Our planet has become a dumping grounds. mostly because in this day and age there are more people on this planet then in any other period in time as the worlds population grows so to will the problems. From waste disposal of all kinds medical problems and a whole array of social problems. And while some countries might have a lot of land to use for living space this planet can only handle so many people and the more people you have the more volatile they become.

We will probably be wiped out by some killer virus with no cure long before our worlds population ever gets to the breaking point.

I don't think that's such a good idea.  If you look on youtube, you'll find videos of underage compulsive gamblers.  There's one on there about a 17 year-old who sold his grandmother's TV for $100, which he spent on instant tickets (He only won $34.)

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

I'm more concerned about what happens after I die than what happens during our lifetimes

to the environment or speculating about some far-fetched future about traveling in space.

After death is like, forever.  We're just biding our time until then, that's all.

You hit the nail on the head with that statement. Most people only care about the here and now, how much money they make, what they can buy next, and then let the future generations fix all the screw ups.

I guess if president Kennedy had said we will put a man on the moon sometime in the future using your analogy we would still be figuring on how to get there.

He said: I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important for the long-range exploration of space; and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish. We propose to accelerate the development of the appropriate lunar space craft. We propose to develop alternate liquid and solid fuel boosters, much larger than any now being developed, until certain which is superior.

             http://www.presentationhelper.co.uk/kennedy_man_on_the_moon_speech.htm

Whether your a part of it or not people of this world will continue to develop and invent everything we need for our survival. And at some point we will have to leave earth as it will cease to exist become to hostile to live on. It's our destiny to travel in space just as going to the moon and beyond was/is our destiny. The difficult parts of traveling at the speeds necessary to reach habitable planets will be overcome with time and persistence. And if they have to they will make Mars a habitable planet by seeding it making it grow into a living planet much like our own.

And while most of us will never see this our future generations will make it happen.

Outer space is a very inhospitable place.
You make it sound like we're just gonna go
planet-hopping in the future.  Afraid not.
              Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good sci-fi
as much as anyone else.  But that's fiction.
And I think we're talking about apples and oranges,
because I was referring to the afterlife and
what happens to us, our souls, when we die,
and how that's much more crucial and permanent
than any temporal concern which pales in comparison.

When your dead your dead. Your spirit might mingle with other spirits.....  for me to believe that is almost as believable as your understanding of space travel.

They have found ice on mars that equates to oxygen. They also say they can extract oxygen from moon rocks. We have the ability to change ones physical make up using DNA. Who's to say that one day people won't be able to breath methane and live. We already being exposed to carbon gases.

How many spirits have you been in contact with. Do you actually think when you die you will mingle with other spirits.

Thinking about the afterlife and not wanting to know about the future of humanity and your kids and grandkids, and great, great, great grandkids is sellfish, something i've repeatedly said about humans...

If the wright brothers hadn't succeded we will have fly anyways but it wouldn't have been the same, you wouldn't have fit 400 people in a jumbo jet...Flying will have been stricly for military purposes...Maybe, maybe with a small chance we will had found a way to fly lots of people but definately not 300 people something like 50 people....And if you do the math carrying 50 people with lots of airplanes that look different the entire sky will have been crowded...I saw the invention of the nemesis of the wright brothers....And honestly i don't think there will have been a spaceship like the one nasa uses...

you forget that inventions are re-inventions of past inventions and very few inventions are done alone without no previous frame of work...
