FWIW, I don't mind the question.

I'm retired now, my occupations were the Army, the Postal Service, and casinos. I worked in Vegas as a dealer and box man (dice pit) and on river boats.

I think it's very interesting that we have people from a wide variety of occupations and yet there's a strong common bond- the lottery.

          Good Luck to all!

I doubt anyone is earning a living playing the lottery. The lottery is a hole where all the money goes just like owning a boat.

Yeah, I really like such responses as this defines a person that doesn't understand the whole lottery concept and falls within the masses of doubters. Sir, you are limited by what you currently know and see here at LP. There are only so many numbers (combinations) in this game and the art of matching the winning number while being able to successfully sift out the junk is not hard. Maybe for you it is.

The words I DOUBT will keep you bound to where you are right now in this game. Know what? This day and time, I live for people just like you and you're the epitome of the FUEL I've inferred to in a recent post. I've had six (6) people whom I do business with read this reply and they all sent me similar replies. Thank you, once again, for unknowingly validating what I'm capable of and further promoting my business as your comment vs. their payouts are highly contrary to each other.

I operate the website JD Wholesale and play the lottery to WIN! So far, it hasnt worked out...but I believe someday it will.

I buy 10 chances per draw unless it is over $100 million. I then inch it up. I will buy 40-50 tickets for tonights drawing. I pick half my numbers based on the last 10 drawings and get the rest in QP. Rarely do Powerplay but am starting to add it to a few tickets to see how it goes.

I sneak into Illinois when the Mega drawing is over $100 millions.

I love these topics!  It's so interesting to hear about all the varied walks of life.  (I think joker17 thought the question was "what DON'T you do for a living".) Wink

Myself, I am a computer consultant for over 20 years now.  I have been fortunate to have been in this line of work during its most interesting points — starting from the advent of personal computers and "minicomputers" (a step down from mainframes) in the workplace, through their status today as a vital component of every business.

If you have young kids and want them to be good at computers, start them early on with a musical instrument, and make them stick with it (and practice every day!).  I am convinced that intimate knowledge of music is one of the major keys to unlocking the portion of your brain that informs logical thinking and problem-solving.
