I'm a retired autoworker that took full advantage of "30 and out" and in a way gambling was partly responsible for being able to retire at a much younger age because I invested in casino stocks. I've played lottery games since the early 1970s, had my share of nice wins, and overall I'm in the red but I still have fun playing.

I doubt anyone can make a living playing the lottery unless they win a multi-million jackpot, but there are bookies who take lottery bets and make a nice living until the Feds catch them.

I am retired veteran(US Army). I am working on a system to win at cash 4. Right now I am playing to test my planning  without spending money right now, just playing on paper.  There are a lot of hits for the $5000, but it would cost more than I would like to spend.  I will narrow it down to about 1500 to 3000.

So far it looks very promising.

If you think you can or if you think you can't you are right!

I'm a laid off mortgage person with a lot of accounting exper. You can't beat the lottery. I've being playing lottery before there was a legal lottery call the bug I've won some and I've lost alot. MatchMaker you love to talk you should really start a school. When you first came to LP you said that you had lost alot of money. I've being to most of the casino. I won the double jackpot in vegas, didnt have enough money in the machine I was being cheap. I've spend as much as 150.00 a day and there were times i didn't hit one number it happen. I really don't think anyone has crack the lottery it always changing. The thread was can you make a living off the lottery. I wouldn't want those odds. I did better when I was working than I do now, Why is that I had more money to spend. I believe that it takes money to make money. Nice thread I alway wonder what people do for a living. I always played the day and evening everyday.

Sometime I hit both 3,4 times a week sometime I hit 5 days a week. Would I tell anyone to quit the day are nighttime job for pick 3,4 NO NO NO. JackPOT YES YES YES

Sometimes you have to spend a lot to get a lot. I really enjoy betting on greyhounds and horses. I would usually spend from $400 to $630 on one bet for a superfector. That's just the way I have to bet if I intend to win. Don't get me wrong, I often place smaller hoping to win, but when I spend $400 or more I expect to win, yet sometimes I don't, but I won't quit because i drop a $400 or more bet and not win. Lottery pick 3 and 4 I am aproaching the same way. I am in it to win

If you think you can or if you think you can't you are right!

              Today could be the day!

                      Diamondpalace,

I workled at the Golden Nuggget in Vegas and one night we were on a break with some of the bosses, tail waitresses and dealers.

The conversation was, "What did you do before this?" and a couple of the bosses thought "bimbo tail waitresses." Well, this one says, "I was a foreign trade analyst for Stanford University but I can make more, easier, here schlepping drinks". Then she went on with a hilarious story of how Stanford, if they had waitresses, would do a cost analysis of the price of the pantyhose they'd have to buy, and how many, versus how much they were making.

The look on the bosses' faces, priceless!

You might get a lot of chuckles out of a website called The Stained Apron:

Dedicated to the venting of food servers' frustrations and a harsh education of the dining public.

                      Wink

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                      Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
