Sorry to confuse you scoobydo, I can be a bit technical when it comes to numbers! The best way to look at numbers and number patterns is to look at the skips. A skip is the number of games between hits, in other words the number of consecutive games that a number or strategy sits out before hitting again. Take the digit 0 for example, it has this skip pattern:
Currently out: 3 games - Previous skips: 14, 1, 0, 3, 0, 0, 0, 1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 0, 0, 3, 0, 1, 6, 10, 2, 10, 0, 1, 1, 14
Median skip: 1
Digit 0 last hit three games ago (in Pick 3 Night), so it's out three. Before that you have to skip back 14 more games to find its second most recent hit, then skip 1 more game to find it's third recent hit. That hit was on a skip of 0, meaning it hit the immediate game before with no skips in between. Then go back 3 more games to find the next hit, etc. The Previous Skips string goes back farther in time from left to right.
What good is knowing the skips? Because once you know the median, which is a skip of 1 in this case, you know that exactly one half of all the hits of digit 0 occurred on skips 0 and 1, and the other half occured on skips above the median ranging from 2 to 14.
When a number hits too many times in a row below or above the median, you can expect the trend to reverse and correct itself by doing the opposite... i.e. hitting on short skips after sitting out a long time, or sitting out for awhile after hitting a bunch of times in a row.
Hope this helps! BTW I only study data for Pick 3 Night so what happens in the Midday game is irrelevant to any of the numbers or patterns I talk about here for Pick 3 Night.
