Column 2, 2 7 8. You bold them, then look for matches in the remaining 2 columns.

        7 2 5

        8 7 4

        0 8 1

          Actually, you bold 2 7 8, and in the first column, there is a 7 &  8.

Okay. This one is a little different. Now the 7 in the first column, you will add the 2. Just once. Which give you 9. Not the same as the first column when the 7's met.

                  Ok, 7+2=9

                  then?

That guy gets an idea then it seems like he loses it halfway through explaining it.

I would have liked to see if it worked out too.

I'm so lost. When he got to the point where he talked about the 8 at the bottom. Because the 8 is at the bottom, the rules are different. What would the rule be if the 8 was somewhere else? And what rule would it be if  a different number other than the 8 was at the bottom.

I'm going to stop at a gas station and get directions. I'll be back soon.

I think he's pulling our leg. In the other thread similar to this one, right here in the math forum, it seems it ended the same way. Maybe he passed out from exhaustion....lol...In fact, i need an aspirin right now.

This works just as good as this math theory

Sorry about that. The 8, there is 7 and 4. you add them you get 11.
