Thi is rom the Pick 5 Forum, the Illinois Little lotto for 2008-2010.

The game is drawn everyday. Quckm Picks are QP and Player's Picks are PP. People always say, "Well most of the tickets played are quick picks", which is definitley true, but results are results. Baseball managers and football coaches go with the percentages.

Draw your own conclusions.

2010:

150 Jackpots

65 PP   43.33%

131 QP  87.33%

____________________________________________________

These are 20008's and 2009's results:

These were the 2008 results:

146 Jackpots

120 QP   82.19%

91 PS      62.32%

(includes shared jackpots)

2008 was a leap year. So in 366 days jackpots were paid out 146 times or every 2.506 days

82.19% of the jackpot winners were QP

62.32% were player's selections, or PS

2009

365 drawings, 157 jackpots, a hit every 2.32 days.

To date:

157 Jackpots

132 QP   84.07%

87 PS      55.41%

Here's the results for 2008, 2009, and combined:

Two years combined

731 drawings

303 Jackpots

252 QP  83.16%

178 PS   58.74%

Including 2010, three years combined:

1096 drawings (2008 was a leap year)

453 Jackpots paid

383 QP  84.54%

243 PP   53.6%

This includes shared jackpots.

Looking at all three years it is pretty consistent, 146 jackpots, 157 jackpots, 150 jackpots. There is a drawing everyday and a jackpot is hit ever 2.42. days.

2008

82.19% QP  58.74% PP

2009

84.07% QP   55.41% PP

2010

87.33% QP   43.33% PP

The stats speak for themselves.

2008 - 140.93% ????

2009 -  139.48% ?????

2010 -  130.66%  ??????

Everybody in Illnois won the Little Lotto 4 times and you're jealous because you didn't?

There is no difference..Ping pong balls have no idea if you have a QP or self pick..Good luck cause that's what it is luck..

Ok this sounds like the tiggs I know!

Quick picks are great if you just want to be in the draw and don't want to think about what numbers to pick.

The bad is that whatever numbers the computer chooses.......those are the numbers your stuck with. I would rather randomly choose my own numbers than let a computer do it for me.

      2010:

      150 Jackpots

      65 PP   43.33%

      131 QP  87.33%

      My conclusions
      PP 43.33% + QP 87.33% = 130.66% total picks

      garyo1954, RJOh,

It was stated that the totals included shared jackpots.

      In case you missed it:

      Including 2010, three years combined:

      1096 drawings (2008 was a leap year)

      453 Jackpots paid

      383 QP  84.54%

      243 PP   53.6%

      This includes shared jackpots.

In other words, if a QP and a PP split a jackpot it would appear as 1 QP and 1 PP for the same jackpot, that's why it totals to over 100%.

Might be nice if you thought something out before you try to make someone else appear foolish and in your attempt to do so only prove yourself to be.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

      Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

For me, I've had better luck with quick picks.  I used to play regular numbers but I couldn't even get 1 number match.  So I just buy quick picks now.  I've won little prizes (free ticket, $2, $7) and I match numbers more often (even if I don't win a prize).

I don't think it makes a difference if you play quick pick or your own numbers. If it's your turn to win, then you'll just win.

I like picking my own numbers, makes me feel like I am in control.

My husband plays quick picks , he has no patience for filling out bet slips.

we both get wins either way, nothing so spectular we need legal or financial assistance.

When I play I usually do 90% my picks and 10% QP

            Why?

QP will often give numbers/scenarios which have rarely been drawn or never drawn at all.

Example: The last time I played powerball, QP gave me a numbers where the lowest in the seqeunce was a 41. That was basically a waste of a chance.

In theory, all numbers and scenarios have an equal chance of happening, but I would rather take my chances with numbers that are plausible based upon the previous drawings

I like to pick my own numbers just because it's fun. However, I think I win more on QP's. As a matter of fact, my lottery pool at work won $100 on PB last night. I played $5 on numbers I picked from LP's RNG, and $5 on QP's. One of the QP's was the winner.

I won $100 on P4 in November by playing a number off LP's RNG.

I don't think it matters one way or the other.

I agree whether you QP or PP since it is all random, the chances should therotically be equal. But here is what I think, with QP, some times you may get set of numbers such as 1,2,3,4,5,6. Mathematically that set could very well be the winning set but chances are less compare to some other random set such as 5,13,14,23, 45. Just my gut feeling.

To maximize the chances of winning wouldn't you want to pick some numbers from lower group and some from upper group. Again there are no guarantees but talking about chances within chances. Most of the times QP machine doesn't pick weird set such as 1,2,3,4,5,6 and hence higher percentage of QP winners. Obviously, more people play QP and that is definately a factor for higher percentage.

Your example is why I don't like to play QP's.

So I'm curious as to why you would still play them 10% of the time?
