The Reference Box is a tool you can use to get STRAIGHT hits in Pick 3.

It also works quite well with Pick 4.

The Reference Box is made up of the digits that are hitting the most in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions.

Here is a recent example of a Reference Box (RB) for New York done on February 14:

 4 1 2 2 4 1 0 3 9 3 5 4

This means that the hottest digits in the 1st position are 4, 2, 0, and 3.

The hottest digits in the 2nd position are 1, 4, 3, and 5.

The hottest digits in the 3rd position are 2, 1, 9, and 4.

Not ALL the hits from the RB are straight of course; many times the hits come in box form. And not all RBs generate a straight hit - but many do.

The RB can also be seen as a convenient way to VISUALLY organize information about Pick 3 and even Pick 4. It is an easy to use tool that you can REFER to at any time when deciding what numbers to play; that is why it is called a REFERENCE box. It will always tell you what digits are hitting the most in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions at any point in time.

By doing a new RB on a regular ongoing basis you will be able to SEE how the digits are moving “inside” the game. For example, you may notice that on Monday the digit 2 was very strong in the 1st position but the RB you do on Friday can reveal to you that now the digit 2 is more dominant in the 3rd position. That is very useful information that will give you an incredible edge when you play Pick 3.

The RB works in ALL states. It works in all Pick 3 and Pick 4 games.

I will now give you a few examples.

Here is the RB for FLORIDA done on Feb 15 after the midday drawing.

905 hit straight the SAME day in the evening drawing!

 0 2 5 9 8 8 6 0 7 7 1 3

Here is the RB for ILLINOIS done on Feb 14.

960 and 027 hit straight the very NEXT day on Feb 15!

 5 2 7 0 6 0 6 9 2 9 0 3

Here is the RB for NEW YORK done on Feb 13.

011 hit straight the next day on Feb 14.

 0 4 2 2 5 1 4 1 6 6 3 9

Here is the RB for GEORGIA done on Feb 12.

358 hit straight the next day on Feb 13.

 0 3 8 3 4 9 8 5 0 8 5 0

Here is the RB for FLORIDA done on Feb 11.

735 hit straight two days later on Feb 14.

 6 3 5 0 2 1 3 0 7 7 1 8

Here is the RB for NEW YORK done on Feb 11.

332 hit straight the next day on Feb 12.

 0 4 2 2 5 6 4 1 1 3 3 9

I can give you MANY more examples - but I think you get the point.

This is a very powerful system and it can make you a winner in Pick 3 if you master it.

I will now explain how to create a Reference Box so you too can start getting straight hits in your state as well.

Hi aanewyork, I'm new here, and trying to lay catch up. I have been reading all of the post on your RB's both Pick 3 and Pick 4. I have created a Pick 4 RB, but I have seen anything on how to play the numbers. Can you help me out with this? Thanks

My specialty is Pick 3, not Pick 4 but the same principles I teach can be applied to Pick 4.

The first thing you will have to do is to start a journal for Pick 4:

Keeping a Journal(page 55):

But things will work a little different for Pick 4. You will have to give yourself more time for the numbers to hit. I suggest you write down the RB and index for Pick 4 on Saturday night after the evening drawing and see what hits the following week or two (Sun thru Sat).

NOTE: The Game Index will almost always will give you a hit for Pick 4 within a 14 day period. Back test in your state to verify this.

You CAN do a RB everyday and see how that plays out. I have not done that for Pick 4 but this is something you may want to explore.

The most important thing is to record everything, look for patterns, and then compare what SHOULD hit (based on the RB and index and due pairs) with what ACTUALLY hits.

This is how you will LEARN what actually works in your particular state. (The Rundown system on pages 32 and 33 works on Pick 4 as well so I suggest you track the most due 27 pairs in Pick 4.)

Whatever I may tell you is what I see working on my state but things change from state to state so I suggest you research the patterns that work best in your state.

After 30 days of recording this information in your journal you will have a much better understanding of what numbers to play.

Keep careful notes, review your journal on a regular basis, and you will be on your way to hitting \$\$\$.

This is NOT a Triple Alert

I want to point out a weakness or bias in the RB.

In the RB you always go with the lowest digits; so if you have two 2s, 4s, 7s, and 9s, you will always go with the 2 and put the digit 2 in the RB.

In order for the high digits to “make it” into the RBs, they really have to PUSH. Meaning they really have to hit MORE times than the low digits. Otherwise you will pick low digits.

That is why you see so many low digits (0, 1, 2, 3) in the RB, especially in the lower sections (C, G, L, D, H, M); you always pick them over the high digits.

So don’t get excited when you see a 2-2-2 or 3-3-3 on the RB; it’s usually NOT a triple alert.

It just means you picked the SAME low digit in all 3 positions!

sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

0 was in the ref box 3 times 0 was my main number in index box and 00 was a due pair. 000 came in last night . how in h. did i miss it??????
