It's really entertaining that so many people who detest quick picks would gladly hand over $20 for a raffle ticket.

Yeah, I know, "apples and oranges". Maybe on the one hand but on the other, it's still 499,491 losers and 509 winners. Varies state by state by the m.o. is the same.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

BINGO!! Coin Toss..tiggs is sure someone or all the experts would say they are working or have a system to win the raffle..If they started the raffle then they would have to say they was "lucky" if they hit it and that would be neato and music to tiggs ears...Let the raffle begin!!!!!!...

                                                              Pure luck

When I win the raffle tiggsy, it'll be because of my secret scientific miracle wonder mystery method.

But don't worry, cuz when my book comes out revealing the mysterious secrets to winning raffles, I'm gonna let you buy the very first one!

And along with the first book you buy I'm also going to give you a firm handshake, a pat on the back and a warm smile of approval!

The Prize would be $500,000,000 and the Tickets would be Free: They would base the number of raffle tickets you get on the amount of Income Tax you Pay the IRS each Year.

That's what i'm talking aboutI Agree!

That would be a sweepstakes and not a raffle. People buy raffle tickets and enter sweep[stakes. PCH, Reader's Digest run sweepstakes, "No purchase necessary" contests.

Much as I'd like to win a billion, ten million will be more then enough, thank you very much.  I'd buy a ticket maybe, but most of my play would be in a game of fair odds where I can make my own luck picking numbers.

Instead of a national lottery or raffle I'd prefer the right to play ANY game nationally online for the same price as the locals pay.   That's freedom.

I never cared for raffles, lotteries are the types of games I like and since PowerBall and MegaMillions can be played in almost ever state, I consider them nationwide lotteries.

Oh, I'm all for nationwide lotteries too but I also like the raffles and would like to see a nationwide raffle.

I think that would be a cool name too - Nationwide.

In fact I even know what they could use for a theme song:

Well I was rollin' down the road in some cold blue steel,
I had a blues man in the back and a beautician at the wheel.
We going downtown in the middle of the night
We laughing and we jokin' and we feelin' alright.
                            Oh I'm bad, I'm nationwide.
                            Yes I'm bad, I'm nationwide.

Easin' down the highway in a new Cadillac,
I had a fine fox in the front, I had three more in the back.
They sportin' short dresses, wearin' spike-heel shoes,
They smokin' Lucky Strikes, and wearing nylons too.
                            'Cause we bad, we nationwide.
                            Yeah we bad, we nationwide.

Well I was movin' down the road in my V-8 Ford,
I had a shine on my boots, I had my sideburns down low.
With my New York brim and my gold tooth displayed,
Nobody give me trouble cause they know I got it made.
