I'd give up all of my "junk food".

I used to be a "diet counselor"....taught others how to eat healthy & lose weight & now here I am with these bad habits so if I won I would be glad to give them up!

You know, it's easy for us to say what we'd give up because 99.9% of us aren't going to get a big lottery win anyway!Big Grin Angel

I would give up looking at lottery for interesting ways to win something decent. That would freed up a lot of time to start a family and have 3 kids.

You're just saying that cuz your viagra is so expensive.

I saw in a medical journal that they have the generic version out now and it's a lot cheaper.

You should check it out, it's called Mycoxarizin.

I was watching some movies yesterday and of those were Ralph Macchio's "Crossroads" (not that terrible Britney Spears one). If you know the movie then you know how that movie got me thinking about this question. Now this question isn't as crazy as the deal in the movie (which includes your typical story of someone selling their soul for fame/wealth/certain wishes) but it's the same basis.

Would you give up something in your life that would seem almost impossible to live without if it meant you would win the lottery, and what is that 'something'?

Personally some things that would be almost impossible for me to live without are TV and/or the internet, since they are both huge sources of entertainment to me and I use them every day. If I were to give up one of them, though, and be guaranteed a jackpot win, I think I would give one of them up. The thought of guaranteed financial security for myself as well as my possible future children would definitely trump all the joy I get from the internet. It would definitely be really tough but I think I would manage. At least TV could still give me news and entertainment, though things may get tough in the future when more things revolve around the internet... I think enough things can still happen face-to-face or over the phone though. At first it would be a pain but eventually I think it would stop being a problem and I would actually be more productive and start enjoying more things in life that I hadn't before.

(and let's pretend there's some magical force that will prevent you from ever doing/using the thing you said you would give up and there's no cheating the system, like in my case, hiring someone to simply use the internet for you)

Eh, it is but it isn't. It's the same concept but instead of the old "here's my soul now give me wealth and fame" it's about not watching TV anymore, not using the internet, no more eating at restaurants, etc. The simple luxuries that we love so much but could give up for everything the lottery would allow, you'd still get to move on to wherever you believe after your death. I was trying to keep it a fun discussion so wanted to steer away from that whole issue and keep it limited to worldy objects.

I would just love to be in that Walgreens when tiggs asks the pharmacist lady for that product.

Especially if she was older and hard of hearing and he had to start shouting the name. LMAO!
