Ahhh seems nobody is being real honest here - too funny !  I think on an average week I spend (invest) bout 20 - 30 bucks. I usually buy myself a couple quick picks to cover myself for the week then if I have time I'll pick my own numbers usually on the pick 5.

In it to win it ! Good luck on hitting the next big one everyone ! Big Grin

I don't keep track, either by what I spend or by what I win, If I always got some dollars in my pocket I am happy.

I'm spending about half of what I spent when I was smoking!  Tobacco free for over a year and loving it!  Life is good.

you're doing very well, quit back in 85 and told myself,

now i have  more $ for lottery.

smoking  has zero chance of making me a millionaire, lottery has slim chance,

you may still get the urge now & then, you just need a distraction,or maybe you already know that.

looking back i not only had more $ for lottery, but paid for my truck. Cool w/ the $ that would have went up in smoke, and left garbage in my lungs.

            $1550 to $5000 in 2 years time.

I am spending minimum 1200 euros ($1550) per year for lottery games.

Sounds painful sum to most of you, but atleast I am honest.

I have even travelled into Italy for a vacation when there was this 148 million euros jackpot,

to Belgium for 185 million and this months to Florida for $325 million in Powerball.

If all that was combined to vacational costs, we are talking about $5000 in last 2 years, minimum.

With big efforts I have finally arranged legal ways to play in Spain and USA, so no more travels to local countries are necessary

until I win big time, then all I need to arrange additional bank accounts. I tried to open bank account in USA without success

so I will cash my check outside USA when I win.

PS. Have won about 400 euros so far. Not very good rate of return. Lottery or warrants, both are gambling.

Well to be honest my play varies depending on the situation. I try to take care of my bills first.

Then what I have left over to play with I use that. Now If I win say like 500 from a pick 3 hit straight

or say a 200 dollar pick 4 box then I will play hard for the next drawing. For example If I hit say 500

on the pick 3 then instead of playing a number once I might play it 5 or 6 times to go for $3000.00.

That is just my personal preference and it makes it more exciting to know you have a chance at $3000.00

vs say $500.00, although I would be very happy with either. Money won is twice as sweet as money earned.

I think as long as you enjoy yourself and aren't hurting your family or yourself then whatever you spend is

              an ok amount.

              Rehab is for quitters.

WTG, L.O.A. and welcome to LP.

was living in anaheim when i quit,

just about the same time, the ca. lottery was starting,

thought, OK if i don't smoke i can afford this.

just remember, when ya get that urge,

say to youself, wait 5 minutes, then look for something else to do. Smile

I have noticed that I play less this year because I wait for jackpots to grow to $100 million or just play one line of ticket on a lower jackpot.  But I have been playing $1 scratch-its for like 5 of them at one time.  So my usual $200 a month or $2400 a year.  Good luck to all!-weshar75
