I caught the Skynyrd reference there ridge.

Would I really have to beg, probably not. People have left and come back where I work. However,

Never think your job can do without you. Someone else was doing it before you got there and someone else will be doing it after you leave.

The numbers will tell you what numbers to play. Pay attention to the numbers.

Don't just think outside the box, crush it.

    Skynyrd ain't the point.

    The point is begging.

    You'll do it.

    I won't.

rdgrnr (Ridge) - I think you have hit upon what most miss.  Living with yourself is non-optional... and you can 'turn a blind eye' or be 'unaware' all you like but bottom line you are all you really got.

There's lots I would do to protect my friends and family.  I am a voracious 'momma-bear' and fiercely loyal, but I also know that I have to face myself in the mirror after anything I choose to do.

I will choose to CHANGE my vocational approach upon my lottery win.  :)

You can have the log for as long as you want.

I'll take a bed and a roof over my head.

Oh, I wouldn't be in the log for long.

I'd find something better eventually no matter what it took.

I just know I'd never beg any man for anything ever.

                  I'd die first.

I take an oath on that.

My new job is rough as I do have to get up around 4:30am (least that's when I end up waking up anyway) on certain days to do laundry shift.  I wouldn't quit my job per se but I would definitly ask for my schedule to be cut down to only 3-4 days a week or do laundry night shifts.  I wouldn't want to do the standard shift anymore.

You've got the right idea NoShame. A four day work week is nice but a three day is sweet. I've had both schedules. The three day paid 24 hrs straight time with up to 27 hrs overtime. Sure do miss those days.

If it was the big tens of million dollar pots, I'd have to quit, my wife too, because life would no longer be normal.  We'd be fighting to not " change", but imagine all those around you, even beyond co-workers, close friends and family - YOU are now a living breathing ATM, and I dont mean that as harshly as it seems.  You are a real way out of hopeless desperation, and with all that you now have, it will seem imperative in their mind for you to give them a way out.

On top of that, tens of thousands of dollars will be expected of you by people you've never seen before.  You can't work normally once the word gets out - you'll have to move to a more secure home/location, make arrangement for your kids' physical security, pull them out of school - there are serious crazies, and even worse, serious hardcore criminals out there and the Lottery folks seem more than happy to tell them who you are!

Seems so simple: three digits, 168 to one odds when boxed... all you have to do is pick the right ones!
