I've learned that when the jackpot gets up near there again and I want to throw $50 bucks at it, I'm going to buy all 46 mega balls. Its a guaranteed win on one ticket and instead of picking all 6 numbers, that win ticket only has to hit 5 numbers.

I'm surprised you hadn't thought of that before. I always cover as many bonus numbers as possible even when I don't play enough lines to cover them all, it's my best change of winning even a small prize.

* you don't need to buy every combination, just the winning ones *

I learned that people are really insane. I mean come on, it was like Black Friday last Friday. The funny thing is, I did not buy one ticket. I did however tell my mum to buy 2 tickets from Brooklyn... both losers.

I learnt that it's pointless making someone else rich. People who spent $50, etc sure know how to make other people richer.

When a frenzy hits all of a sudden everyone is an expert or has a theory to beat the game.

Kind of like when someone's home team is in the World Series and although that person hasn't watched a game all year or can't name two starting players there so willing to share all their baseball 'knowledge'.

The current thread in News about the woman in Maryland who may or may not have won anything is a real lesson. Whether she's telling the truth or not, despite the other people in the pool being in Maryland, a state that allows remaining anonymous, they're not anonymous anymore. It also teaches playing in a pool might not be a great idea.

I think we can also say making grandiose plans for money you haven't won yet and probably won't win gets a litle silly. Just my $.02

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

To put some more work in and get my MM tracking system finished. Takes a while using pen and paper! Although the QP's did win me $20.

The wife and I did spend more than normal and after reading some of the responses, I realize I was not the only one that felt like there was really no chance when seeing everyone playing and how much money some were spending on it.

It did not bother me at all when I checked the numbers Saturday morning and we didn't win. Sometimes I get really disappointed, especially when I think I have some "good" numbers.

Priceless indeed...seeing that i dont normally play but when the pot is that huge i throw in 5 dollars......without much thought i was able to score on the powerball as well as 1/5 numbers which was the same number as the power ball. i guess i cut my loses to 2 bucks cos i won $3 back...better than the 100-10k others were spending...
