Epistrophy, where you been ?

the hendrix reference reminded me,

a freind had 4/5 on a pic 5 game,

he had 6 instead of 9    ( i don't mind if 6 turns out to be 9)

I told him about the song, but he never heard of it, even though he was a movie usher,

and the tune was part of the soundtrack on easy rider.

thanks for reminding me, Smile

@ Ridgerunner,

while making this post i had to use that lifesaver thing, thanks, man.

    Hey, Hay.

I've been inundated at work.  Jacques Freakin' Cousteau.

That song was also in the movie "Point Break" years later so your friend had multiple chances with that one.

I had meant to include your quoted text previously, McGinn.

I might as well also include:

Gimme Three Steps - Lynyrd Skynyrd

88 Lines About 44 Women - The Nails

50 Ways to Leave Your Lover - Paul Simon

        1984 - Oingo Boingo

        1985 - Paul McCartney

        2000 Light Years From Home

In the Year 2525 - Zager and Evans

Man, there are a lot of numbers out there in that realm now that I think about it.  Excuse me while I go win the lotto.  :)

We can't forget about 867-5309/Jenny - Tommy Tutone

One is the loneliest number - Three Dog Knight

Great calls on all of these.

Coin, somehow your post got caught up in the riptide as I was replying to McGinn, so I just saw it.

There are seriously so many numbers in songs that if you played all of the combinations and permutations you would either:

            a) go broke because there are so many possibilities

            b) win the lotto because you played so many possibilities

            c) somewhere in between

Now I've got that nice guitar solo stuck in my head.  Could be worse, could be much, much worse.

It's Dickey Betts at his betts, I mean, best, though the little trivia gem in that one is that studio musician Les Dudek played a large part of the original studio cut.

When I was in kindergarten and we were learning how to count, I would be very upset when they started counting at 1. They had to start at 0 for me to be satisfied.

Today's winning 3-ball is going to be a number between 000 and 999.

In a lot of states, lotteries benefit education. That makes the REAL winners the only people who can't play!
