Ok, here's the setup for the Pick 3.

We are using my state's (Minnesota) Pick 3.

If you want you lookup the data yourself, you can see it here or find a place to download the data yourself.

We will not post the entire list of numbers, only portions for demonstration.

We'll layout some graphs to show the derived Wave Matrix information in a few ways so you can understand how the waves work together in summation to represent the actual data.

We're preparing the files now, just a few moments to setup the Wave Matrix on each and get the graphs setup and uploaded to the LP.

We'll post the graph in a bit.

The parts of the table that you should be interested in are the 'Type =', "A =", "B =" Cells; Regression , Waves, Remainder, and Data columns.

The other information is related to how the wave were created using the 'Bidirection Mean Averaging' process.

It's not necessary to know how the Wave Matrix was created, it is necessary to understand how use it.

The Type of analysis in the table is Linear.

            A and B are the coefficients of the Linear equation y = A + B · x.

The Regression column is derived from the Linear equation using the Index column by setting the Index = x.

A tells us the values are close to 4.4 and B is near zero, meaning the line is near flat or horizontal.

Each Wave and the Remainder tends to oscillate about the Regression line.

The Regression, Waves and Remainder are all parts of the original data.

To confirm they are parts of the original data, we can sum each of these in a single line to get the original data.

In the Wave Matrix table, the last column labeled 'Data' does that in the Excel spreadsheet.

To the right of the table is a graph of the Waves for this example, shown below.

The Waves show the subtle variations in the Data that might not be easily seen in the raw data, like below.

Some of the Waves are oscillating at about the same frequency.

We call these a set of reinforcing waves.

They tend to work together and could be an indication that we have reached the non-random harmonic for this set of data.

Below are Waves 4 to 8 that seem to be a set of reinforcing waves.

What does this mean non-random harmonic for this set of data

The Remainder contains most of the random element.

It's the left over data that comes from removing the non-random regression and waves data.

The graph below shows the relatively even spread of random points.

At the bottom of the table there is a line that is just 1 draw beyond the last draw for the data we are analyzing.

That line is the 'Quantum Projection ->'; in this example it's line 4810.

In the Excel spreadsheet of this example, not this posted table on the Lottery Post, if you click the 'Manual Recalculate' button in the ribbon, you will see the last 2 columns change value.

This is because the Remainder is being used to simulate the randomness of the lottery draws by randomly selecting one of the Remainder values in lines 1 through 4809 for the 'Quantum Projection' line 4810 in the Remainder column.

The last column, 'Data', on the line 4810 is the sum of the Regression, Waves and the randomly selected Remainder.

There is something to consider when using the Quantum Projection.

The projection does not know what kind of data you are analyzing.

                          It will produce ±decimal numbers like -0.362661087, 6.747335585, 10.589263936 .

You need to correct for this by knowing what kind of data you are working with and its limits.

In this case, we are working with integers 0 to 9.

The numbers above can be modified to be an integer 0 to 9 by rounding  =ROUND('XX', 0)  or doing an Integer-Modulus  =INT(MOD('XX',10)), 'XX' is the cell with the number to be modified.

The Integer-Modulus has the effect of wrapping the numbers back around if they are less than 0 (wraps back to 9 and down) or bigger than 9 (wraps back to 0 and up).

You'll notice that each of the waves appears a little different.

Lower numbered waves like 1 and 2 tend to be low frequency and high amplitude wave data.

Higher numbered waves like 7 and 8 tend to be high frequency and low amplitude wave data.

It's not always like this, because it depends on your settings.

Below are the waves with our current settings.

Changing a setting can have a vastly different set of waves.

Below are the setting changes in the 'Wave Find Algorithm' and all others not changed.

                            by Amplitude Only.

                            by Frequency Only.

There's no one absolute way to make setting changes.

The settings should be tweaked to fit the kind of data you are analyzing.

Also, in general, you should be looking for waves that fit fairly similar to the above description of low numbered waves and high numbered waves.

                              Hey Jade,

Super work!!! I know this is for 2007, but I was wandering if it will work in 2010. I'm not real sure what the difference is in the two versions and 2010 is what I'm running. Sorry to interrupt with all you have going on there and you trying to get caught up with the thread and all.

                              Thanks a bunch!!!
