Anyone knows if there are ways to play lottery with groups of people online, with people you don't know, but would share the win, if your group wins?

We need someone to hold all our money.

Hmmm... let's see... how about you?

There's this place called LP, where some members are very excited about this type of gaming opportunity!

Ronnie316 is looking for such action with his weekly MM wheels.

Tell him the "Big Fish" sent you his way.  Wink

I've read of those kinds of groups overseas. They are called lottery syndicates and are run by professions who recieve fees for their efforts.

One such story was in lottery post where a group of 70 households won a whopping $950M.

Read the rest of the story here

If you found any such local group, be sure to inform me about it Thumbs Up

        That money's gone fo ever

There are all kinds of Internet schemes to take your lottery money along with an equal amount for fees and they all work fine as long as you don't win anything.  Just do a google search.

           * you don't need to buy more tickets, just buy a winning ticket *

rdgrnr, you don't understand. In such arrangement no one holds the money, but people sign up for a group and pick the numbers and are considered officially a group. In case the group wins, all the precidures by deviding the money among the group memebers are done properly by the lottery company.  I wish such site existed.

Could work, no one holds any money and everyone  who signs up shares the money the group is holding.

                Questions

                Who collects the wins?

How are wins divided, I mean, who mails the checks?

What stops someone from agreeing  to participate, and then runs off with the prize?

I think you would need a whole lot of information from the actual tickets. IE when and where purchased, ticket numbers,
and data the lottery would need to stop payment.

Believe Random-Logic has a pool with his system, but I think the membership is full.

                Lot of questions.

                Personally, I wouldn't take a chance.
