I'm sure many of you are probably laughing at me for getting excited over getting the Powerball for both last Wed. and last nights draw, but for me that's exciting. I'm really going to continue to try to pick my own numbers. It is more time consuming but I hope it brings me closer to getting a decent win (I'd be thilled to get anything).

I enjoy picking my own numbers, if It becomes a chore, then just take a rest for awhile, the lottery isn't going anywhere

I choose my own numbers and if I can afford it buy insta picks as well, that way I have an extra chance at winning..

Has anyone else noticed that quick picks are bunching numbers. I.E. 44 47 48 or 23 25 29 or 52 53 54, etc. a high percentage of the time! If you look at the winning powerball numbers you will notice they rarely display this senario. However, the quick picks favor this setup a high percentage of the time. I have been following this pattern for over a year, purchasing 5 to 20 tickets a drawing. I know all numbers have an equal chance of winning, but patterns do develop and these don't necessarily mean winning patterns. Since the powerball drawing is with balls the numbers are more separated, but with computers the quick pick numbers are more bunched. Thus they rarely match up with how actual numbers are drawn. Makes one wonder...

Hi realtorjim,

That's why I started a previous post about the fact that I was getting bad numbers on many QP's. Was getting 10, 11, 12 or 21, 22, 23. This was happening quite often on QP's. Was so frustrated that last week I started picking my own numbers and will continue to pick my own instead of playing QP's. At least when I pick my numbers I'm not usually picking 3 numbers right in a row. Also on my QP's many times I would get 3 numbers that were on the previous draw, so frustrating.
