Hey everybody - I'm pretty well washed up with scratch offs or anything to do with the Lottery. This past week I gave it my all - went through 5 books and dozens of individual tics - GR, FlCash and one book of $200MS - glad I got the $1K on $200MS - the several $500's I got didn't put a dent in my outlay.

I very seldom buy SuperMillions - in my madness and acting out I bought a book - because I had a good feel - yeah right - all I won was 6 $20's and ONE $40. My friends say it's the lousiest $20 game there is - now I know why. $600 out and $160 back. Is anyone winning SuperMillions or getting wins on any scratchers ??

I say I'm washed up - I've said that several times in the past but for some lame reason I sneak back in another day. Sound familiar ??

I did buy a couple dozen Raffle tickets ....... that's it.

skeptic, I know you already double-check, but, give your Super Millions tickets another go through. I remember reading somewhere that the games makers (Scientific Games, and the other one) that the Lottery contracts with for the actual logic, printing, delivery of the tickets are regulated to produce books with a minimum win percentage. The Lottery itself isn't so regulated, but the games companies [supposedly] are -- I have no good reference for this, but I know I've seen the info more than once. I'm not entirely sure of the minimum percentage, but I think it was somewhere around 37%.

If this is the case, $160 back from a $600 book would not be enough (~26.7%).

I might be wrong about this, but, I'd still give the tickets a close inspection. I know when I buy whole books (or just a ton of tickets at once) I tend to go through them quickly. Single-number matches are easy to miss.

The raffle tickets are definitely the best bet right now for a good win, unless you feel like driving the state buying out 100X tickets. Big Smile

I've learned to triple check tickets - that's what I won with a full book of SuperMillions - $160 back - that is bordering on criminal.

    wins: $10,000 Jubilee - $5,000 $200MS - 31 $1k's - 185 $500's - 5 $400's

      I'll take your word on the payout.  To my understanding, you should have received a minimum payback of $245 (5 x $20, 1 x $25, 1 x $30, 1 x $40, 1 x $50).  Sorry to hear about the bust.

Super Millions is a rip off, always has been, I don't play the way I used to, but recently other than the 1000$ I won on Fantastic 5 in October, I haven't had much luck.

Bought 2 just now and both were duds.  Those odds are terrible.  Not touching that one again.

EZCash you need to get a grip on it either help or else you will be homeless I take what I can afford and more to this horrible game but not when it comes to home money where you need it to live. You shouldn't spend your money that will make you homeless with meaning rent money and anything else that will hurt you in the long run. This coming from someone who put his name on the list at the casino a year ago and will probably be back in a few weeks to the casino since the name is off the list on the 20th. but worried about you like you parents are I think you said before your dad is doing this so you will learn or something. I just don't want to hear you spent all your money and now homeless because of this dirty game.

I appreciate you caring, and I mean that. Today, I tried the new $5 game, won $20 and then spent another $120 but lost it all as I knew I would. This is a horrible and evil game, I am working longer hours now so I can pay my landlord in the next 2 weeks or he will kick me out. My parents live in Illinois and I really don't want to move back there (if they would let me move in). These tickets are sold everywhere so it's not easy, when I buy gas, when I buy some milk, etc. I don't want to even carry cash in my wallet anymore. I feel so bad that I ate a whole pizza at 7-Eleven right after. Lady Luck has got me in her weak spot. Unhappy

I don't think you're taking this as seriously as most would if they went broke to the point of impending homelessness after a gambling loss.

If you're really serious about seeking help, it's out there. The fact that you recently became a member and have posted primarily about your gambling problems is a sign of one who is indirectly asking  for help. That's a good start.

Best to move on from the 'woe is me' posts and reconsider your priorities.

                    Good luck to you.

I am down almost $2,000 in just one month. I could of bought my brother a car, he is in college and doesn't have one. This is the worst thing that is hurting, what I could of done with that cash. I've been in stores and seen $5,000 wins, $1000 wins, etc. These people who win are frequent players. But I cannot afford to be. I am still working, got myself the night owl shift but I'll take it considering my recent losses. I would like to help someone else who might be in my spot or recently started gambling. I'm glad I have a place where people can help me. I don't want to call that number, they will just save my phone number and log me in their database... It's not really anonymous like they say it is. When I shop at Publix, I see professional working men buying 4 or 5 FL Cash $25 tickets often, they aren't stupid but they CAN afford it. I would rather start saving for a small house or something while I'm still young. I have spent hard earned money like the rest of Florida. A few bucks and a dream has become a lot of bucks and a lot of misery. LOL
