What would the implications of having a party thrown for you Really mean? Would you feel that there are " strings" attached? A quid pro quo... so to speak?

Good response! I would not expect anyone to throw a party for me for a lottery win, friends or family. If your neighbors threw one, I can see "slips and falls" and providing people a chance to ask too many nosy questions etc. NO way!

No, the less attention, the better.

Of course I would feel there are strings attached.

                helpmewin,

There's an Irish saying, the world is a book and if you only ever live in one country you've only read one chapter.

I like to modify that to the country is a book and the states are chapters.

Re: Others throwing a party for you having won a jackpot.

Nope, would not accept, smacks of many 'strings'.

I've heard of winners throwing parties for others, not realizing those others were expecting to be getting a share of the jp. The question posed seems to be a kind of reverse twist on the same thing.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
