One can almost always count on you to come up with a real zinger Ronnie- but you right,  as someone once said to me
" l will be leaving ashtrays behind- ash included for the kids-My Ash, share that!
Apparently he calls them all worthless Crap, l asked him once why?- his response" Drugs, Jail bailouts, divorces & wrecking his 1960 Shelby Cobra. Yikes.

Actually my Mom was like that. Even though she got a large inheritance from her parents she kept it all for herself and gave her kids nothing. What she did have left over she let the guy she had re-married keep, even though he didn't need it and she knew the guy is a greedy miser and like b2b would rather leave it to the state general fund than let any live person get it.

I guess some people just don't have the maternal/paternal instinct. (among other things) Green laugh

Thanks but no worries. I personally feel people who do such things hurt themselves more than anyone in the end. Things have worked out great for me and I don't hold anything against them. Being a winner means staying positive (as much as possible) no matter what the circumstance. Lottery players are winners. Yes Nod

You don't have to have kids to have a will b2b-ster. Are they ZERO charitable organizations that you have more faith in than the "tax man" ??? Only a Scrooge would give it to their states general fund over the Red Cross or some other organization that helps people in need........

Perhaps your state will put up a red light camera with a plaque bearing your name??

Some "charitable" organizations can be as tricky and deceitful as the "tax" man

I guess it would depend on the size of the win.

                4 to 5 MIL. and I'd need a spending plan like Ronnie316,

a big Jp like 50 MIL. plus, a lot would be invested so in that case a lot would be left behind,

                when MR. grim shows up.

But I don't call it casket time, I want to be cremated.

James Gandolfini's estimated $70 million estate will pay about 40% in Federal taxes because of how the assets are distributed in his will. It doesn't matter to a jackpot winner who is planning on spending their last dime before jumping into a coffin, but those who don't better make sure because of their will, their jackpot doesn't get taxed twice.
