Sure. I probably made the mistake of looking at these patterns so much, I didn't do a great job of explaining it. Let me try again. The key with this is the pattern rules. However, first I should probably go into how I'm viewing the data. I'm looking at DAY and EVE draws together, sorted by date. So Day 1 is two records. The first one is the Day Draw, the second is the EVE draw. Here's the first ten days of April 2012:

The first thing I look for is doubles. 4/1 DAY is a double but there's no carry over, so I move on. The next double is 2-9-9 from 4/3 DAY. The 2 also carries over from 4/2 EVE (*also, no number appears more than two times for 4/2 EVE and 4/3 DAY). I currently haven't found a pattern that gives me an idea about which position a number will fall so think of these sets as boxed. That's why I refer to them as Positions A, B, & C instead of 1, 2, & 3. Here's how I get the numbers for each position (boxed).
Position A = 4/2 EVE and 4/3 DAY carry over number is 2
Position B = 4/3 DAY double, which is 9
Position C = All three numbers from the draw that followed the pattern. In this example, that's 4/3 EVE: 8-0-1
My boxed sets would be: 290, 291, 298
1-2-9 hits on 4/7 DAY
8-9-2 hits on 4/6 EVE
Having two hits is a bit unusual, typically it's just one.
*If a number appears more than twice, you probably won't see a hit using this method. I have no explanation why, it's just what I've been seeing while testing. I would think that if a number appeared more, it would increase the chances on it coming up again but that doesn't seem to be the case. For example, if the numbers were 5-9-2 and 2-9-9, I would ignore that and move on. Sometimes it hits, but most of the time it does not.
