Would you continue to play the lottery if you won 1 million?

Me neither, at this point It's almost like breathing, but the expected MM change ?

Well that would be just 1 game not total quit.

I would still play but I am out of MM when it changes also.  That many numbers seems like Bingo to me or that Keno game I see up on a TV screen every time I buy my tickets in DC.

Quiting my job Is my main objective.

? Is, can I do so w/out telling them what I think of them ?

I probably will keep my trap shut, nothing to be gained long term

and short term loss has high potential.

If someone has a jerk employer, etc.,  they will be more ticked off if you ignore them and say buh-bye when you win.Oh and also mention how you are giving a cash gift to one or two people there but you are sorry to inform them that he/she is not one of those people. lol

I've been In every draw since the game started, even the first couple years when It was called "the big game"

Now I'm trying to figure the minimum JP level at which I would buy an occasional ticket.

I suppose I'll have to see how fast the JP rises w/the new impossible odds.

If a lot of folks quit the game that could take some time.

There will be no parting gifts, It a big place, hotel w/ over 1000 rooms,

but I do like the Ignoring them Idea, kinda like a slap in the face aye ?

I could just go on vacation and not come back.

They call that job abandonment, and It creates lot's of problems, but that's not my problem.

You don't really have to give a parting gift, just tell the biggest jerk that you are doing that....lol. They will be more ticked off with you struting around for 2 weeks after giving notice.

                  Hi everyone,

Just curious what people's thoughts are if you would continue playing the lottery if you won 1 million on a scratch ticket or a draw ticket? Just read about the Indiana woman who won 500,000 in 2008 and just recently won 1 million on another scratch ticket. I would continue to play if I won 1 million. Since my luck is very bad I'm doubting that I would ever be in that kind of a position, lol. Since some people do continue to win again it makes sense for them to try. Now if I ever won a lottery worth 10 million or more then I would probably stop playing. It's different when you win something like 1 million because if it's on a scratch ticket and you take the lump sum then you automatically are already starting off with less than 1 million and that's before taxes.  I just think some people seem to have better luck when it comes to winning again since it's such a low occurance for a jackpot winner to win another big jackpot. I'm still waiting for a decent win over 5 dollars, lol.

LOL 1 million 2 million 3 million 4, Id keep playing for some more, more, more

I don't know. I guess I would have as good a chance as anyone else to win another lottery.  Contrary to popular belief, lightning often DOES strike the same place twice.

A few months after the Texas Lottery had started, the lottery commision ran a commercial on TV and radio featuring two of the winners and they argued who was going to be the first one to win it twice.  I remember rooting for one over the other b/c one guy had won "only" a small jackpot while the other one had won something like ten million.  There's a woman who has won four times here in Texas, but some of her winnings came on (a) scratch ticket(s)

I would continue playing until I am the only winning ticket for one of the multi state jackpots. Then I will announce my retirement from playing the lottery during the press conference...though I will leave option to make a comeback ala Brett Farve and Michael Jordan on the table!

The guy who won the presidency in 2008 really won the lottery...he is now millions richer, travels in first class style, and even has a staff that would be the envy of the richest Powerball winner (she has a staff of 2). Every night he goes to sleep, he probably plays the close of Dave Chappelle's Show: I'm rich beyatch!

Maybe buy a ticket or two, I wouldn't play it as much straight away but further down the line.
