The first thing you notice, is that there is no direct, obvious correlation, between the rankings, and the things that might seem apparent to us, like longetivity and quantity of posts. It teaches us that patience is a virtue. On this site, you see the, " elder statesmen, the good ol' boys, the intelligent and informed, the shoot from the hipsters, the blah blah blah's, and a smorgasboard of different characters you can and can't imagine" and their ranking are all over the place. The main question is, "What's the essence of a high ranking?". Do you get something of value with a high ranking or is it just in good fun? Better still, is it something to thump your chest about? Who Knows? All in all, it keeps you guessing, and that's the essence of it.

It takes a lot of time to become experienced. Just go with the flow and don't worry about it. Besides, Todd isn't going to tell anyone how to get to experienced level otherwise it wouldn't be a secret.
