Yea and I watched my 401k EXPLODE from 2008 to now.  I had rebalanced in 2006 to put 80% in fixed income so didn't take much of a hit on 2008.  I am still working so still putting $$ in.  I have done VERY well since 2008, and I am VERY happy I am invested in it.  So you SCAREMONGERS can just hide on the sidelines while the rest of us CASH IN!

Shout out to our wonderful President Barrack Obama

Remember gains aren't gains unless you have sold and paid the taxes.  Timing the market to get out before the central bank reverses policy is tough.  The big players will react quick and punish any unrealized gains.  Jill might have some insights on this stuff for you.  Your right it was right to be in the market as of late so congrats.

If that's the case then why are the majority of his supporters still living below the poverty level?

He has proven to have the ability to run circles around the Republicans, IDK how he does it TBH. He has passed a law that no other president going back 40 years has been able to pass. That $17T in national debt is scary.

        That money's gone fo ever

After looking at the tiny profit my 401k makes and all the tax penalties for withdrawing
Early I decided its better to just play $10 scratchoffs

Anyone else hope to use Lotto for their retirement income

Don't we all.. I mean scratch offs are certainly more fun!  And who knows.. look at all the people I see that win big on scratch offs!

If nothing else buy silver if you can't afford GOLD ! LOL

Always go with the 401K and take advantage of the employer match. You will have money at retirement age. There is no guarantee if any of us will ever win a jackpot.

I don't think Obama or any of his supporters really care about the national debt. Their logic is that it's the responsibility of future generations and not them.

                    Shout out for what?

                    Redistribution of wealth?

Adding more to our national debt than all the previous Presidents before him?

Providing some form of entitlement to nearly 45% of the population?

Having the majority of other nations lose respect for the USA?

I don't think it even matters. Politicians will always buy votes by promising handouts and as we have already witnessed it seems to work.

With a government that loves to redistribute wealth why would these folks ever want to work? As long as they get freebies, living below the poverty level doesn't matter.
