Looks like the matrix is backfiring. When they add numbers it allows people to play those numbers that they could never play before. There's some numbers id like to play so when they go to 100 it won't bother me.

Odds of winning do not matter to you?

Mega millions is far too easy to win, it will go bankrupt because winners are fleecing this game.

Better change the matrix & make the odds 1 in 500 trillion while they still can.

Well jj, before the matrix change MM paid out 8 to 12 jackpots a year.

In another week this year will be half over and so far there's been 5 jackpots so it's on a pace to pay 10 for 2014.

Considering two drawings a week that's not a whole lot of 'fleecing'.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

      Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I think I would very happy to win second prize. Of course I would like to win the jackpot, but a million dollars would just fine also.

That's worth throwing a buck at.

4 draws after a Mega Millions winner and here we go with another one. Seven in the first 6 months of 2014, bet those lottery officials are raising their eyebrows LOL

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

            Oh for Pete's sake! Again?

I might wake up early and go running.  I might also wake up and win the lottery.

The odds are about the same.

I like this very much. Frequent hits of the jackpot means fewer profits for the greedy governments. I hope these jackpots never reach $100M

They did promise higher, faster jackpots more often Stack47... well sorta

Straight from the press release on MM webpage dated 10/19/13... with quotes from various lottery directors

                  http://www.megamillions.com/news-releases/mega-millions-to-become-even-more-mega-beginning-with-the-october-22-drawing

From my "perception" the only thing that has really changed is the starting amount and the other tier prize structure.

Other than that, it's the same ole pig with some new lipstick on it... as far as all this fuss about new exciting stuff for MM players with the matrix change, I'd say it been a bust thus far.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it.LOL I think the problem is wasn't change in the Matrix wasn't high enough thus increasing the odds. I think more and more people are playing Mega Millions to try and get the second tier one million dollar prize more so then the jackpot itself. I am somewhat surprised how as of late the MM jackpot can't even get above $20 million before someone hits it. Everything runs in cycles though, the jackpot drought is soon to come and the jackpot will increase accordingly.

Game enhancements include larger and faster-growing jackpots, better overall odds

That's mostly true, but it's not exactly a promise.

The changes are better overall odds and a chance to win $1 million for a buck though with terrible odds. The best bet is probably using the Megaplier.

I agree. I'd rather there be multiple smaller jackpot winners than one jackpot winner of 100 million+.

SmileThe high odds dont mean a thing! As you can see. People are still going to go after and win the big jackpot.

You can do anything if you put your mind into it. The sky is the limit! Cool
