This just keeps getting better! What we have here (besides a mess) is a chart of the 120 lowest three digit combinations, excluding triples and doubles, of the Texas Cash 537. BK3 = back digits; Hits= hits; LNG = longest it has ever stayed out; CURR = how long it is currently out.
BUT ITS ONLY ACCURATE WHEN TRACKING THE LOWEST THREE DIGIT PATTERN IN A SET of 5 back digits.
To understand why, we have to go down to that little bitty chart that says BD and TOTALS in the lower right corner. That tells us more about how and why this works than all the half meg of code it took to produce the entire chart! (not knocking the programmer but he can be such a dummy sometimes).
BD is the number of individual back digits in any draw. Totals is the count for that number of back digits.
18 times Texas Cash 5 has produced a draw with only two back digits. Happens rarely. Not anything to be concerned about. If two of your three digits are correct, you could still win something. Or maybe the jackpot.
Three different back digits came out 431 times. There is only one combination in three different back digits counting lowest to highest.
But here is where the fun begins.....
When a draw contains FOUR different back digits there are THREE possible combinations in play, meaning three possibilities of hitting something (if you have one of those three back digits sets). For example, 1, 11, 12, 26, 28 contains the back digit set 1,1,2,6,8. The three digit combinations we can make, lowest to highest, are 112, 116, 118, 126, 128, 268. Since we don't play doubles or triples, we eliminate the 112, 116, 118 from the playlist. That doesn't mean we can't hit them, it means they are not our target. Notice 4 different back digits make up almost 50% of the draws. Playing the right three digits and hitting one of the doubles would mean a 4 of 5.
BUT FIVE DIFFERENT BACK DIGITS! OH MY ARE WE HAVING FUN!
We go from having three possible back digit combinations to play to having 6. A draw like 1, 2, 14, 18, 19 produces back digit combos of 124, 128, 129, 248, 249, 489. And all 6 are in play. That occurs about 4 out of every ten draws.
So what's the bad news? Well, when playing three digits, if a draw produces 5 different back digits your eliminated from the jackpot although you could have multiple three digit hits.
So its a player choice kind of thing. But playing three digits in a five ball game does appear (on paper) to improve the odds of winning something.
The chart...Hrmmmph! It's only about half there.
