If a state wins a PB or MM drawing, sales of either game should be shut down for one year in that state. This gives anyone not in New York a fair shot at winning, and it shuts down cheats.

Smile The answers to this post had me laughing out loud.  Hilarious.  Thanks LP--laughter is great medicine.

Its more like you should be punished for making this thread LOL

That brings to mind: Public Flogging!

A mind once stretched by a new idea never returns to its original dimensions!

No, as I understand it, the easy picks are done at the terminals.

Also, computers and people don't know the winning numbers until they are actually drawn.

I find that hard to believe.  So the lotteries that do computerized draws have no idea what has or hasn't been drawn? Why is there a no buy period before all the draws?  It leaves just a small sliver of time for shenanigans.

So according to jj the states that produce the most revenue for the lottery should be cut off for a year.

Should that ever happen guess who the first one to post about jackpots being too small would be.

        Bang Head

So it is really about revenues in the end,  and not about anyone really winning.  People need to rethink about throwing their money away  on PB and MM's.

A person has to be in a state to win!

Actually, you have to have the right numbers to win.

Here are tonight"s winning Powerball numbers, got them from a friend who knows someone.

This a joke right, because it real funny. LOL. Just maybe the people in the other winning states are taking more time to select their numbers. It not right or fair to close them down, just because your state don't win.

l think* that the Original thread is suggesting that clearer heads prevail in NY, CA, NJ & FLORIDA when it comes to picking out the winners for PB/MM...that's downright bias- narrow minded thinking to say the least. But it's an Opinion.

People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it- George Bernard Shaw.

If those so called states have so called "clearer heads"  why do those people keep voting for democrats?

I'm amazed that somebody with such a stupid idea can grow old enough to buy a lottery ticket before dying from some mishap that's incredibly obvious to almost everyone else.

Or like raising health care premiums on the same people, so the I don't feel like working or making good choices people can have a bowl of ice cream with a cigarette and a beer for breakfast can continue making bad choices and everyone else can pay the doctor bills.

                            I Agree!

Whaaa? So a state should be punished because it has a bigger population therefore a bigger chance of winning? NOT!

Exactly!  The bigger the population, the more tickets bought, the higher the probability that someone from that state would win.

                              6.064 million (2014)

                              Missouri, Population (2014)

                              19.75 million (2014)

                              New York, Population

                               26.96 million (2014)

                              Texas, Population (2014)

                              38.8 million (2014)
                              California, Population (2014)

                              Keep it simple
