A Business Bucket is exactly what it sounds like, a homemade Portable Toilet.
Natural disasters are always sudden and unexpected. So if you are out in the woods camping and nature’s call comes suddenly then how do you wish to fight it? Well you can’t, but with some handful tips and tricks you can do your business in peace. An emergency portable toilet will provide some level of comfort while you face off against the elements. It’s very simple and effective and all you need are some everyday items to get yourself situated.
Items that you need to build your Portable Toilet:
- A 5 gallon bucket
- Some heavy duty trash bags
- A pool noodle
- Ultra soft toilet paper
Portable Toilet Assembly:
- Pop the handle of the bucket by simply tugging it out. Bend over the tip of the handle with a pair of pliers as it will be easy to connect the handle back later on.
- Lay down the bucket and then from the connector port measure around 3 fingers down to drill a utility hole. Make sure the spacing is perfect.
- Using a 3/16 “bit drill hole will ensure that the hole is made just through the top layer without penetrating the wall.
- Place the toilet paper through the open end of the handle so that it reaches the middle of the handle.
- Lock the handle by pushing it into the new connector port. The easy access toilet roll holder is done!
- Line up your bucket with a heavy duty garbage sack to keep your bucket neat and clean. You can use trash bags which are about 1.5 ft X 2. 5ft and it will hold up to 8 gallons of waste materials which is more than enough for any human needs.
- Push the garbage bag into the bucket and tightly secure it by lining the top ridge of the container in the same way you line up your trash can at home.
- Make sure the plastic liner fits in perfectly and doesn’t come off easily by accident.
- Make foam padding for your toilet seat by simply cutting a pool noodle from the local store. Cut about 3 ft long and then cut a clean slit in the side and place it on the can for a comfy experience.
The toilet hold might rub against the bucket which is quite disturbing. Make a small hole away from the center and elevate the handle by using a bungee cord or an elastic band or even a coat hanger to suspend the handle.
Well, you have your business bucket all set and done. Throw away the trash bag once you are done and your bucket remains clean and odor free! Clean your hands properly. You can carry all your major supplies in the bucket as they are waterproof and self contained.
Enjoy your camping trip with this easy-to-build business Bucket!
