Assume you spoke to and took good advice and wise counsel on your money from your legal, tax, and CPA team.  It's now Monday morning at 9am and your "spending" acct is now active.  What's your first purchase?

Me being a car lover?  I'm buying a Mercedes Benz S65 AMG Coupe!  Cars would be my only expensive vice!  I don't want a boat nor a plane nor any mansions, just all the cars I ever wanted.  Of course the car(s) id buy would be dependent on how much I won.

What about you?  What would you buy first and why?

If I'd have won the $1.5bn powerball, I'd most likely have bought 30 cars totaling about $15 million.  If I win the minimum prize, I'd only spend about $500-$800k.

If its something sizeable a new home for my parents would be my first purchase

Followed by a home for myself

Pay off my existing mortgage, catch a flight outta here to where I want to live and start looking at real estate.    Guess a new(er) s560 mercedes would be in order too.

The only advise I would NOT take is to finance the home, if it was suggested for tax purposes.  There would be NO MORTGAGE and taxes would be paid ahead for several years.

Yep, all contingent upon the net value of the win.

yeah a new one would  involve waiting no doubt, so a  last years model or what ever is  deliverable  the next day. hell id fly out to pick up and drive it home.

just something to get around in while i wait for the panamera to be optioned up and painted just right. then a house and a garage. then furniture, and then a holiday. only after all the money is safe and earning its keep. so when i get back form my holiday i am even richer...  oh day dreams are over

A full set of dental implants, high end and completed in one day. If I plan on smiling incessantly for the rest of my life, I may as well do it in style. Big Grin

Well, I don't know about the US but here in the UK Domino's Pizza is pretty darn expensive, haha.

Might treat myself to a pizza the night before cashing the ticket, can't be cashing a million £ ticket on a empty belly now can we?
