        That's the right idea h-trax.

I'd buy about 100 acres in the Hill Country and build Mama her log home. Then I'd buy about 100 acres in the mountains about 80 miles east of El Paso that's in the middle of nowhere. That's the bug out place. LOL.

Get a PT Cruiser, a condo near the Charleston SC coast and eat blue crab and other oceanic delights while I figure out what US Virgin Island I wanted to fly to.

Absolutely, I agree Maddog.  Would love to take them all in but unfortunately there are too many.  A farm rescue would be great along with supporting shelters for animal needs. Pay for neutering clinics several times a month.

Animals give so much unconditional love, cant imagine a life without pets.

I like Maddog's idea - but I couldn't do it.  For my first purchase - surf&turf at our favorite restaurant.  and for a non-consumable purchase - new carpet for the house (we would need it to sell - and we need it if we stay).

It's a good question. The answer to that we have all been thinking about for the last 19 draws of Powerball (since Nov 7).

I have an agreement with my brother. If I win, he gets half, and if he wins, I get half.

                              1. Pay off all my indebtedness. I would not owe a single penny to anyone.
                              2. I would then give a gift to a select few (family and friends...I have a list).
                              3. While on vacation somewhere, I would have my current place re-done. Ripped down to the studs and have new sheetrock installed and painted. Purchase new furnishings, including a very large TV for the living room. It's in a nice location, so I wouldn't get rid of it.
                              4. Buy a house of my own (for my me & my girlfriend).
                              5. I would buy a new vehicle. Not sure what I would get, but it would be BRAND NEW! I would fix up my current ride (1996 Toyota Tacoma) and have it as a run-around vehicle.
                              6. Buy and renovate abandoned apartment buildings and provide affordable living for the working poor. You know...people who only make $10 per hour and can't afford to spend $1500 / month on rent. I have always thought if I won a BIG JACKPOT, I would like to do this
                              7. Live the rest of my life knowing that I won't have to be a slave for someone else to get rich off of!
