RL,

Here is another idea I had.

What I did is like the first example in post 1, I took the CA P3 Eve. draws result from 2/16/2013 to 12/27/2015 = 1045 Draws (almost 3 years).

And same thing, I rearrange the draw in a numerical order from low to high and also your code number.

Which give me.

5 = 122

8 = 123

9 = 123

then I put those code together in their respected order and give me this.

589 = 122123123.

I did that for all the draws, 1045 of them, and I removed all the duplicate which leave me with a list of 71,  9 digits code.

( There is few more than 71 not much but they were not in my 1045 draws so I didn't included them in )

Then I renumbered those 9 digits in a New Code system from 01 to 71.

This 01 to 71 become a NEW CODE for the 9 Digits.

According to that list, the New Code that came out the most often is 40, 64 times  which is 112122123.

It's not complicated but need to be detailed to understand it.

I hope I'm not confusing you, I'm trying to be as clear as possible.

So to make the selection also easier, I do the same process again rearrange this New Code, Here 40 in numerical order = 04

Which would give me the following list for the 71 New Code.

01  10
02  20

and below the chart table.

here below the draws before those above just to show you how the New code behavior.

Position 1.

1st selection      : Selection 1 will always be a 1, unless the digit is a 6.

2nd selection      : Selection 2 move around.

3rd selection      : Selection 3 will always be a 2, unless the digit is a 1. So you will need to ask yourself is it gone be a 1 ?

if your answer is No then it's automatically a 2 no matter what number.

Position 2.

1st selection     :  Selection 1 move around.

2nd selection    :  Selection 2 will always be a 2, unless the digit is a 1.   ( Same as the 3rd selection in Position 1 )

3rd  selection     Selection 3 will always be a 2, unless the digit is a 1or 7-8-9.

You will have to also play the 6 ways to get the Straight / 5 Box and that x 2 if you fall on a selection that you have a

2 inverted selection which are the following.

01 10
02 20
03 30

Playing the  inverted selection the choice even get smaller than 71, and go down to 47.

I think this would be a step in the wrong direction.  When compressing the P-3 pool just to get a small field

you must remember that the pool has to be decompressed and when we do, we will have more than just a

few lines to deal with.   If the pool is compressed into 47 codes then we can expect 1000/47=21.2 lines for

each code.  Picking one code from a list of 47 will be hard to do and I don't know that I would be inclined to

play that many lines considering the odds for hitting the correct code.

IMHO, if we could first find the lowest value in a set it would then reduce the odds for the remaining choices

but again it depends on finding the correct lowest digit.  However in some games the lowest digit will  be (0)

so in such cases we won't gain anything.   Setting all this aside we still are left with picking two more digits and

that too will be hard to do even with the reduced odds.   Everything considered I think I need to run a few test

and see what comes out.

In the steps list below we can see that a pair of ones appear in many games and a couple have more than one

pair of 1's.

In 10 of the 11 last games one of the four position was one of the following ->111=1, 121=0, 211=3, 311=7.  In

11 games these 4 digits have shown 11 times.  This looks impressive but one still has to match them to the correct

position/step and then select the the third value.  I almost never miss more than one step value in a single position

and most of my misses are step-1 values.   I have had a number of games where I was one step value off for a str8

hit.    To tell the truth I don't know where to go from where I am at now.  I feel that I am so close that I hate to make

any big changes while at the same time feel it's afar off.  Anyway, I will test it out when time permits and post anything

I find useful.

I agree with you, it will increase the combinations, I'm trying to find a way to get the selection easier.

I will keep looking for more, when I get some time off.

Guys

I hope to get started on it later this week but have to find time to squeeze it in.  I hoped that I could work

on my bet-slip printer program this week but again I need to get some other stuff done.  It should not take

too long to write the program it's just finding the time.  I am getting close to finishing the bet-slip printer but

it's been slow.  Anyway, I am attaching a picture of it, I so hate filling them out by hand.

RL

Years ago I made a macro to print using MS Excel.

My impression until today is that the computer, printer or software has some toggle.
I sometimes had to change the settings while the format of the forms didn't change.

Probably expensive printers are the best, since they get updates for the drivers and others do not provide them.
(...)

There used to be software to print. I tested it, and it failed. Would it be to prevent printing money?

We had a lot of trouble with printers in the past. They mostly do not break, but drivers were not available.

I am still working on the program and have not decided on which print method I will use.  The ticket window

of this program is 100% to scale and when I select the game to print then it loads a image of the ticket.  The

program then prints the marks to a transparent layer so that it can be inspected.  A graphic image file with

just the marks on a white background is sent to the printer.   I use a HP F4180 printer which does a very good

job of feeding the bet-slips in and printing the marks.

The program loads the numbers directly from a draw-file so it's all automatic once the initial setup is made and

saved.  Since everything is scaled to 100% this allows the user to see where any adjustments need to be made

without wasting ink while testing.  It's still a work in progress and I will need to test it on other printers.

I working on building a actual USB flat-bed bet-slip style printer.  It's not much larger than a bet-slip and has a

footprint of around 5" by 10".   It's also in the plans to add the ability to scan the bet-slip so that it can auto-set

all the x and y cords.  It looks sort of like a CNC mill only much smaller.  The bet-slip are ejected using vacuum / roller

system which is still being designed.  Anyway, some day I hope to market the finished product.
