and here we go again with the other most often asked arsesinine question

    Tjorven

Reminds me a lot of my choice, the swedish postal car (old) Tjorven. No one would know that you won the jackpot if you drove this down the road.

Hey, now, this a good topic! I've been outta pocket for a few days on business but, it's nice to finally sit down and find such a thread here! Seeing as to how I'm into old cars, primarily for racing, I'm gonna post one that General Motors built as a concept but later destroyed like a bunch of idiots!!! It's actually based on the 1953-1955 Corvette convertible but, it has a moulded fastback hardtop which looks as though it belonged there from the start to me and hundreds of thousands of others. Well, it turns out that DIY's who had a corvette decided to take on the project of building themselves one which is actually very tedious. However, after lots of internet research and phone calls, I found a gentleman that had the guts and drive to actually build one for reproduction and sale. I'm only in the market for the body because I really like things that are different but, when it comes to cars like this, different costs more. Just so there's no confusion, GM did also build an actual car dubbed Corvair but, it looks completely different from the Corvette and the engine is in the rear of the car. Hey, it's also a very nice car but, there's no comparison with the two together...trust me. The first pictures of the Corvette Corvair are the production body I'm interested in. The next ones are the original GM Corvair Monza they actually produced. I plan to have the Corvette body in my garage next year. Good thread!!

I remember reading many years ago one of the first Louisiana Lottery jackpot winners bought a Porsche and wrecked it shortly after. The Mercedes would be nice since, at least around here, they seem to be a little more common than Porsches or Aston Martins. I also think Porsche has sold out since they abandoned their sports car roots by building sedans and even SUVs.

I used say if I won big I'd buy a Porsche or a Corvette, but these days, now that I'm older, I don't think so. Perhaps I'd get a Camry or a Lexus, since there seem to be a lot of them around here. Another option would be a Chevy Volt. I don't want to draw too much attention to myself. I just want to live a quiet, happy life.

I'd like a buy a nicer home with a room for a home gym. Would like to add to the gear in addition to the treadmill.

When not doing that, I'll spend my time as a volunteer in the community.

No wild, crazy ride for me.

Had a 1969 GTO Judge when I was younger. Fast car. Wish I still had it.

I still entertain a great many thoughts like that Mr P6 jejeje

but I'd still look into maybe getting a Porsche 911 targa both newest or possibly older model targa

(would still like to get my fists on a 959 though jejeje)

but part of me would still be very much satisfied with a new Subaru Forester wagon or legacy sedan

Keep a low profile.  That's for sure.

Just an ordinary SUV for me. Some common, low profile,  vehicle.  But I want a red one, is that still considered low profile? That's all I want for now.

Appreciate all the pleasant comments. I am learning much, and too much to say to cover this. BTW Lucky Loser, my brother had a classic Corvair in red. Here is a pic of a 1968 Mustang Fastback 428 Cobra Jet similar to the version I almost bought. I mean it's not just the destination but also the journey.

Wow, I used to know someone who had that car, same color even, about 20 years ago.

                          Very nice!
