I stumbled upon a Pick 3 System that piqued my interest, and once I did some backtesting, it REALLY piqued my interest! See below for details, but first, two disclaimers:
- I apologize in advance if this has already been covered, I did search Lottery Post for something similar and I came up with nothing.
- This is NOT something I developed, I'm merely re-hashing what I've learned. I can provide a link to the YouTube video if needed.
- Lastly, maybe someone can develop an Excel Spreadsheet for this so it can be "properly" backtested? I am really good at Excel but for reasons that will be come apparent shortly, it's a real challenge to automate backtesting.
OK, so the concept is simple:
- Take your latest draw and do a rundown by adding 1, 3, and 7 to each digit using "Lottery Math". You'll end up with a 3 by 11 table from which we'll pull predictions for the next draw.
- Add the Month and Day of the draw (again using "Lottery Math"), and circle all occurrences of this number in the 3 by 11 table.
- Consider for play any 3 digit combinations that a) touch any of the numbers you circled in Step 2, and b) show up multiple times around the other occurrences of circled numbers.
Here's an example using Connecticut's Pick 3 Evening data:
Last draw on 7/2/2016 was 902.
The Rundown (adding 1, 3, and 7 until you get back to the beginning) is shown below. The "Lottery Math" result of the Month plus Day (Month = 7, Day = 2, 7 + 2 = 9) is highlighted in Black.

If you inspect around all the highlighted 9's, you'll find these combinations show up connected to at least 2 of the 3 highlighted 9's, and these are what I played tonight ($1 backup):

That's it! Now 23 combinations may seem steep, but I did at least 20 spot-checks at various places in the draw history and I was finding a LOT more Straight Hits than I expected so the ROI was well in the black!
So here's what I alluded to with my previous Backtesting comment: the only way to be sure my spot checks were "accurate" is to do a LOT more backtesting. As you can imagine, pulling each and every combination from the above table is tedious, and if there's any other Excel Geeks like me out there, any ideas to automate the process are greatly appreciated! For now I've resorted to concatenating single digits, for each and every $^%&$&##@ permutation of 3 digits around each highlighted numbers, and let's just say I've pulled out what remaining hair I have . . .
