  I've seen people double down on 12, split 10's, split 5's, refuse to double 11, etc. None of them are casino plants who know what the next card is. That's ridiculous. They are simply unskilled players, and they're very common. If most people played basic strategy, the casinos would rip out that game because they would never make enough money just to pay the dealer's salary. Those players either do not know basic strategy, or they've been told what it is and they refuse to believe it.

   

  There are lots and lots and lots of gamblers who are superstitious. It doesn't matter what game it is. It's just human nature.

   

  There is no point in arguing with math, though. It is proven. Refuse to believe in math at your peril.

  I didn't want to go too far off topic by going in depth of things I saw and things I heard. If you stay at any table game long enough you'll have a "break dealer", but I was talking about another dealer; one that sort of appears in the pit and is directed over to the table getting the hot hands. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but you have to admit watching a player come to the table, place a minimum bet on third base, and hit hard 17 to the dealer's 5 is suspicious. 

  Because of the amount of play, I really doubt the Texas Lottery is using the pre-drawing test to discourage systems based on past drawing results, but that and math won't change the possibility of players seeing the number they played drawn during a test.

  Stiffs and strokers.....

  Stiffs are players who never toke (tip). 

  Strokers are players who intentionally make themselves a pain in the arse by seeing how much they can get a dealer to do for the littlest amount of money. example, instead of throwing in $4 at once on a dice game they'll throw them in one at at a time to bet all the hardways. This slo9ws the game down. The pit picks up on this and gives the stick the "windshield wipers" signal so the striker can't get their bets in. 

  Strokers are always stiffs.

  In lottery games strokers tend to be Pick 3 players who refuse to fill out a play slip. I'm sure many here have been behind one "Give me 321 striaght.....now give it to me straight box.....(ooh ooh I get to tell somebody what to do).....now give it to me box...etc ad nauseam. 

  "If I don't play like this it will mess up my system." Yeah, right..get outta here. 

  Many outlets around here have simply posted signs

  IF YOU'RE PLAYING THREE NUMBERS OR MORE FILL OUT THE SLIPS.

  There are strokers on the machines too. They go up to the machine with five or more singles in their hand and instead of putting them in at once they put in a dollar, pick a scratcher, put in another dollar, pick another ticket, etc....they tend to do this when they know someone is behind them.

  Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners. 

  

  There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

  I agree. I would have a ball trying to figure that out.
