Any confusion is on your part. I didn't say Florida Fantasy 5 did have a bonus ball. I even looked it up to make sure what I was saying was factual. What I said was 65/365 (17.8%) is about 1 out of 6 draws. And that doesn't seem like the best option to play in every case as a key number. Playing the #1 hitter for say, 180 days when it will only hit 30-35 times doesn't appeal to me.

Your choice.

What I said about Mega-million and Powerball was for the other guy. And if you read the post you'll see Mega-millions and Powerball were named in that part of the post.

And you'd be right about 26 vs 28.

Still doesn't change the point if there were only 10, 12, 6, or 3. And one ball in Mega-millions pays the same as no balls in the 5 main. Even in Texas Cash5 it takes two balls to get a free QP.

My apologies for my confusion. It was about an hour after I wrote my reply that I realized that you had switched mid-post from writing about Fantasy5 to PB/MM. You could have done a better job with wording that post, especially the words "I doubt that 1 in 2176 applies" which was the source of my confusion. I thought you were writing about Fantasy5's reduced odds which are actually 1 and 2,164, but I'm being petty pointing out a typo to you.

I've had fair success playing the biggest hitter of the year each time I play, but I don't play every day. So there are days when I miss it completely. I try to time when it might come out, but that's pretty dicey. One day last week I bought ten lines of Fantasy5 and won eight Free Tickets by playing the biggest hitter of 2021. I've matched three numbers and won a few bucks by doing it too. But I dont care about that. It's a jackpot I'm after.

There isn't much doubt that players can help themselves by reducing the odds drastically if they play the biggest hitter, but how often anybody plays is their choice. G5

You must consider that you don't do one-visit-games. Some just want to play $50 to $100 for one game. Others play continuously and notice more chances through the rotation of combinations and numbers. I have several different programs/tables and very extended to look into followers or antecedents.

You can transpose or flip your table in Excel or other alike program using a grid. You can also sort the rows in Excel, but it takes more clicking and selecting to go through it. Of course you can't do that if you only get 5 columns as 5 numbers are drawn for a pick 5.

The table by SL is somewhat the simplest there is. No sophistication, just a sum and cmp added.

The pitboss can also come along with a choice of different marbles for the roulette wheel. Balls can differ in size or material. They all do it to get a random result. I felt that some balls were nicer to spin. - I don't know of any croupier competition to spin certain numbers.

Our lotto has different ballsets in different colors and they even mixed them as they liked, without warning.
They for some time just announced that a certain number would be a blue ball and when that one was drawn blah ... . A reason not to watch that machine working, you just get sick of seeing that show.

I agree, plus coupled with Probability Math for a Methodical Mathematical assault on those Astronomical Odds concerning the rest of the Matrix will surely get LO's attention..

MUSL Officials are busy trying to muddle the stats of MM for sure, with consecutive numbers flip- flopin the Odds reading on each, is the one of THE most assured signs of manipulation that Data can show,..as if to "protect or obscure" the true fruitional ball number..

They fail to understand that Philosophically?, wherever there'z signs of "High Security".. to someone astute enough to read those signs,.. it says to them .." there'z obviously something of high value being protected there",or in Lottery terms, non-viable flip-flop odds distractions, attempts to lure attention away from real crucial numerical areas of study..

So, in essence, they're making it easier to spot the true ball number, especially when the Math also verifies it..

I do not have Gail Howard's Book but I have a question do "Trailers" = "Followers.

Followers, to be or not to be.

I am looking at followers. Actual Number following Another Number (not so much (Yet) but Filter Values.

I want to know A Set of Facts about the Game that I am playing.

Filters anywhere in the data, separate that which is similar. Combinations can be divided so A Series of Similarity. Activate a Filter and you have separated the Total Inventory of Combinations into groups. Set this aside for the moment to avoid a debate about Filters and Filter Series (Position Filters).

The question is Followers Yes or No? Me, I’m not sure yet.

Why Bother? As an Excel Addict I can only answer “Because We Can “. You can go back thru the entire history and find out what happened after any Filter or Series of Filters was Drawn. You can then count the number of times each option has been Next. From that you can see the Sequence of the Followers and calculate an “Event” Skip.

Useful? You Tell Me. Does the Book or any other source think this is valuable enough to discuss and Graph?

I’m Thinking a Good thing to know but just like I say after holing a long put or knocking in a Chip Shot even a Blind Squirrel finds the Acorn. Relevance? I am walking around with a catalog trying to order the tight parts, or over-thinking a Chip Shot and the Blind Squirrel is my only hope. Just like Golf, I takes about 4 shots to get close to the hole. Unlike Golf you can find yourself playing the wrong hole and still taking a bit of Chili and missing the Green.

I like Golf and Excel. If I Practiced Golf as much as I practice Excel, you would see me on the TV.

Yes, the software allows you to define a period of time - you do not have to include the entire history of the game.

Yes, the software also allows you to skip draws (you do not have to use the draws that trail IMMEDIATELY after).

I'm now doubting the value of this Trailing Numbers chart. When I eyeball past history, the winning numbers are all over the place - they are never just the ones that trailed the most in the past. Often there are a few towards the top of the list (that trailed the most often), but there are also some at the bottom of the list (that trailed the least often), and always some that are somewhere in the middle of the list. There does not seem to be a pattern.

On a similar note, I might as well mention that I'm starting to also doubt the value of the Adjacent Numbers Chart (some people refer to this as +1/-1, the numbers that follow a draw that are +1 higher or -1 lower than each individual number). For example, if the number 42 hit in the previous draw, its adjacents would be 41 and 43.

Overall, it would look like the numbers that follow in the next immediate draw (either trailing numbers/followers or adjacents), are not predictable based on SPECIFIC numbers, but only predictable based on trends and patterns and measurements/probability. But if that is really true, then how can we explain the very strong results we get when analyzing Repeating Numbers (which are also based on SPECIFIC numbers and immediately follow in the next draw)???

And when speaking about the relationship between numbers, we'd also have to look at Companion Numbers (numbers that hit during the SAME draw). SL glossary:

The Trailing Numbers Chart is a lotto strategy chart in Advantage Gold lottery software (Chart D) and the Lottery Master Guide book. This is the chart to use if you want to find out which numbers followed (trailed) last week's winners the most throughout the entire history of your game. Trailing Numbers helps us find numbers that, in the past, had hit most often immediately after the numbers that just hit.

In other terms:

You count +1 when number x followed number y.

You could look for a pair following another pair, but that doesn't do that.

Thank you for the explanation. I agree with you about tracking Numbers only.

Does the Book or any other System Track Filter Values this Way?
