Players who know how to win aren't interested in automating the process to make it easier for others to win. And others who think they know how to win have to first win to prove it or they wasting their time trying to program the process.

What is the point of writing a program if they don't know how to win and/or never won?
It's no secret, they write them to make money off lazy lottery players looking for an easy way to win.

I like to think most lottery players coming to LP are here to learn how other players are winning. If anyone had a system that only required pointing and a click to get a jackpot winning combination there would be a story about him here. One can only assume no such story no such system exists or if it does exists it's a secret and not for sale.

Winning nothing happens most often therefore winning nothing must be the most possible.

What have you read on LP that is eye-opening? Or true laid bare? Something that made you think? Anything........

IMHO the above statement is the number one thing that many players fail to keep in mind. While it's a true statement that most players will not win a jackpot in their lifetime, if a player gives up playing entirely because they had the most possible thing happen to them, (they won nothing) then that all that does is guarantee that they will never win a jackpot. Ya gotta be in it to win it.

Lottery players must be patient and persistent. How many times have we read about a jackpot winner making the following statement "I played the lottery for years and never won anything" G5

I always thought of this two ways. A person playing the lottery is probably going to lose money most of the time chasing the jackpot. And...playing certain strategies (like all even numbers or all odd) or other strategies is not something that happens very often.

But....its fun (for me) to do different things even though they probably wont work.

Statistics show that QPs win the majority of jackpots. Then again, most people buy QPs. I do myself occasionally, along with numbers I pick.

In the end..."to each his own".

I agree that what happens most is most likely to happen again. That is why I select a mixture of odd and even numbers, because more often there is a variety of odd and even numbers in a particular lottery drawing.

I have been a member since 2002, and I honestly believe some of the most focused lottery minds are on here. I remember visiondude, RjOH, hypersoniq, and other players from decades ago. I still remember when ezMoney won $100,000 off a powerball quickpick.

I also believe that if someone had a remotely close special strategy to win, it would be kept secret.

But no matter how you play, it only takes one ticket to win, and you can't win if you don't play.

Smart lottery winners form trust to claim their winnings. They send an attorney to the lottery headquarters to claim the prize in trust, so that ONLY the name of the trust is revealed. And they tell NO ONE, especially relatives.

If you ever win a lottery and you are single, the only person you should ever marry is someone who was truly in love with you BEFORE you won the jackpot!

People can talk about strategies and gimmicks all they want, but unless your ticket actually matches at least 5 of those 6 balls, you are just another person who tried to win a game yet ultimately failed.

Everybody figured that right. I think they are all RJOH.

Started out looking a companion numbers, neighboring numbers, and threads that would help Hungus.
Ended up some old Gail Howard threads reading Jarazan, TNTEA, destinycreation, RJOH and others.

RJOH was among those who gently reminded us to step away from the edge when we'd as soon jump to see if ideas had wings.

Roundup99 I think you nailed it as well. I don't see anybody posting any special sauce, now or in the future. If it exists, it won't be made available for friendship or money. And that's a pity.

But I respect those who do work by whatever means to get closer to a solution. Like them, I'm fine exploring rabbit holes. At times, I'm tempted to throw out a bunch of stuff, to see what others think, what they have to add, etc., but then I remember Dead Aim exposing Barr and, well, it doesn't seem near as good an idea.

This is a group of focused minds and good people. And sometimes I forget how big it is and how much we can learn from the past.

News from the Rabbit Hole.

I came to L P by way of the Google Search Algorithm in June 2015. I was already a self-taught Exceler having created Cost Estimating and Real Estate Development Models as well as Coordinate Geometry for Engineering. I wanted something else to do with Excel and the Lottery was an interesting and potentially rewarding option.

Way back in 2015 L P was Jumping. Posters like WinD, Tialuvslotto, JD, Winsum, were showing me things that fueled the Excel Breakdown that has morphed into where I am today. There were many then and a few now that spark an interest, and open a new “Rabbit hole”.

What is a “Rabbit Hole” and how do you measure how “Deep in said Hole”, you are?

Whenever you gather up any piece of the history of these numbers. By “Piece” I mean the Cells in your data, you open a Rabbit Hole. You look in your hand at the pieces and dive in the hole to see where the pieces happened together before. Then you turn around and wait to see if you have the right pieces for the next draw, or as WinD’s String Breaking Strategy suggested, the pieces you did not pick up.

The pieces in our hand represent a Group. A Group that you hope contains the winner or a few pieces of the winner if you get partial credit. The Rabbit hole is the Group History that is statistically analyzed. We count hits and skips for the pieces and the group. The Rabbit Hole gets deeper when you monitor the Frequency vs The Skip of every piece of the Group and the Group itself. This yields Either a % or +/- value that takes you further into the hole. Another thing I monitor is the Inventory of a Group against the Frequency, by subtracting the Inventory % from the Hit %. This yields a percentage that tells you if said group is ahead or behind “schedule”. This is a depth that many have descended. Want to go farther?

Consider that a Group is a Set number of pieces. In excel it is a selection of columns on a row in a workbook. Sorry for these basics but bear with me. Each one of those columns on any row (cell) form both a collection of the value of each piece and extend to a comparison of skip/frequency and Inv%-Hit%. Now you have a series of values or you can count like how many values are +/-, for example.

You need a flashlight down here and the hole has no bottom. Excel is your only way back to the surface. Be aware, no matter how slow you ascend, you get the bends. The Rabbit Hole Bends. You come out of the hole thinking that you know something and you think that that something will happen next.

Here is something to consider. Excel lets you monitor as many Rabbit Holes as it's memory will allow. The depth to which you have descended in each hole is an instant record. You don't need to go down the hole ever again. You can run a set of pictures that show you what came out of each hole from the surface or if you get antsy, you can dig another hole that looks at Rabbit Holeville and play Whack the Wabbit.

Most of the people you mentioned actually played lottery games though many of them no longer post. When I started posting, I related more to RJ because we both played Ohio Lottery games and we both used wheels and matched 5 out 6 numbers playing the 6/49 lotto.

Saw a couple of past discussions about wheels but doubt many people here use them. The $2 PB and MM ticket price and anemic lower prizes is probably why. A recent thread about wheeling evolved into the cooking channel. Most the pick 5 games are still a buck a ticket with $100,000 plus jackpots and with winning $1 for matching two numbers makes wheeling much easier. Saw a question about wheels in the pick 5 Forum but where do i find them question.

I sure agree with you, it would be great if some of the current discussions were more about ideas and not predictions.

I spent 5 years in Dayton, Ohio so maybe that's why I relate to Ohioans in general.

It would be great to come in one day and see people (besides dr gibberish) posting about lottery; something they found, something they learned, and things like we saw.

I get off topic too, so I don't have room to criticize, but as soon as anyone wants to talk lottery, I'm ready.
My brain needs something beside the posted daily arguments to work on. So I've been reading older posts.
Went back and added some additional calculations to what I'm doing. This weekend (hopefully) I can turn the whole mess inside out.

IMO, not as many players are picking their jackpot game numbers so there isn't much to discuss. But every once in a while someone will ask which day and at which time should they purchase QPs. Still no explanations of which patterns we should look for; nothing to discuss there either.
