He said 1000 people. While it's true that 1000 tickets could be won by one person buying all the combinations, that person would have to buy 1 million tickets. Who would do such a stupid thing? That's a guaranteed 50% loss, very expensive, and very time consuming.

Why would you need to buy a million tickets? You only need one Pick 4 number to win big.

These 3 pair groups. 14 17 47, 25 28 58, 36 39 69 are in 63 combos. 54 combos do not have them. Which sums do the 3 pair groups appear and not appear? Look at root sum groups 147, 258, 369. Play accordingly.

Iam Him said 1000 people. He didn't say 1000 tickets. He said 1000 people. There is a huge difference between the two. Of course one person can win on lots and lots of tickets. Just buy lots of tickets all with the same number. If you're lucky, you'll win lots of times (or guarantee yourself a win by buying all the combinations, which makes no sense for this game).

I made a mistake in an earlier post where I said that 1 million people would have to buy a ticket in order for there to be 1000 winners. For pick 4 (I was thinking of pick3), there would need to be 10 million people buying a ticket. Or, 5 million people could buy two tickets with different numbers, or 1 million people buying 10 tickets with different numbers. In other words, there needs to be 10 million approximately unique combinations sold in a game with a 1 in 10,000 chance of a straight hitting in order to have 1,000 winners for one drawing. Pick4 does not generate nearly that level of sales for one drawing. It's a tiny fraction of that.

It's not nonsense. The probability of getting four digits right, in the correct order, is 1 in 10,000.

The only way for there to be 1000 people winning a pick4 game is for people to buy millions of tickets OR a few thousand people buy tickets all with the same numbers AND the lottery happens to pick those numbers. That's rare. It's not a conspiracy theory. It is fact.

No, I'm not a lottery official. I don't claim that playing the lottery is a good investment (it's not). It's only for fun, and you should be aware that the state depends on you for revenue. Most states have lotteries because it's easier to get money from people voluntarily than by force through raising other taxes.

All I'm saying is that in a game:

1) run by salaried government employees who don't receive a share of the profits

2) run for the sole purpose of shoveling 100% of profits in the billions to the state legislatures (which is why the lottery has proliferated across 45 states with a large number of games and 223,000 outlets to play them)

3) with a massive profit margin built into the pay tables ("massive" compared to casino games)

That requires A LOT more work than just picking numbers at random. Extra work for no extra pay, for no reason other than to ruin the game. Why???

But if you people want to believe it, that's fine, you can. In that case, stop playing the lottery. If this is true, that the lottery actually takes far more of your money than what the pay table is designed to take, why would you ever play this game? Don't give them your money. Don't ever buy a ticket ever again.
