I am so excited about this new development.

I was wondering when will it finally happen.

I don't stand to loose anything. Odds are the same. Ticket price is the same.

For me it's like adding Nevada or Utah to the lottery, I won't throw a fit because of that.

Unfortunately, many people don't like "losing" to California (me included 😜) so the thought of "losing" to another country is unbearable to them (not me 🤣)

If anyone thinks that their Country deserves to win the World Cup, oh well, you know what am saying 🤣

I always thought it's the best team that wins.

Anyway, I digress 🤣🤣🤣

So excited about the 7/22 PB draw 🕺

I believe winning the lottery jackpot is a 💯 % factor of luck.

May Fortuna, goddess of chance or lot vindicate me.

I agree with you.

There are only two kinds of winners. Either you win or somebody else wins.

If it is somebody else, then it does not matter who that person or group is.

Well, well, am sure you know that we have players on LP who wait for the jackpot to get to a certain amount, mostly $500M before they buy a ticket.

You never know if past jackpot winners waited for such a time, bought a ticket and won.

There is no difference between them and what you are saying.

They did not contribute anything for the jackpot to get to $500M, but they got in and won.

I think you will need to come up with a different argument 🤷‍♂️

Actually, you can play the UK lotteries from the US.

I did not see it specifically mentioned, but I am willing to think that this includes UK Powerball with UK payouts.

Google is your friend.

It is absolutely both your and my choice whether to play or not to play almost any game, anywhere.

And that kind of choice applies to almost everything else too.

I am looking forward to seeing what this UK addition does to the pace of rising/won jackpots.

I vote for NO taxes of any kind ever on any lottery winnings.

It also sets a very dangerous precedent that individual state lotteries will follow.

Imagine if you're a resident of New York who plays the state lottery regularly and that state decides to open up to global online sales. You start seeing players in Turkey or South Korea winning the jackpots, how would you feel about that?

It should be renamed "Garbage" if it really told you that you could play any lottery anywhere from your home state or from anywhere in the U.S.

It's been illegal to play lotteries across state and national lines in the U.S. for some time now. Try it with your credit card and see what happens.
