I recently discovered this channel about four Oriental Shorthair cats: Teddy, Stache, Bindi and Dexter. They have the most peculiar meow, esp. Teddy...who really does sound like he's honking. "Stache" is aptly named, although I would have been tempted to name him "Dolph"....as in Adolph.
A poem by Walt Garrison, one of my all-time favorite Dallas Cowboys.
Garrison was born in Denton, TX and worked as a cowboy on a ranch in the summers, then went on to play for the Oklahoma State Cowboys until he was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. He spent time on the professional rodeo circuit in the off-seasons and after he retired from football.
His signing bonus with the Cowboys in 1966 included a horse trailer. Yup, that's a "real" cowboy, I'd say.
Former Dallas QB and MNF announcer "Dandy" Don Meredith once said of Garrison: "If it was third down, and you needed four yards, if you'd get the ball to Walt Garrison, he'd get ya five. And if it was third down and ya needed twenty yards, if you'd get the ball to Walt Garrison, by golly, he'd get you five."
This is amazing. I tried doing it back when the craze first began, but soon realized I was never going to be anything better but bad at it. (and I was a pretty fair athlete in school)
Found a picture of the leading cough syrup from the early 1900s and now I know why our grandparents were always able to walk to school barefoot, in the snow, uphill, both ways. pic.twitter.com/TvNEWtDk3t
Even though it's a little strange to wish someone a happy 140th birthday.
Will Rogers once said "I never met a man I didn't like." Noble sentiment, but he never had met some of the people I have, a few of them being LP members.
