TV converter box camera and mic, part 2

In my last entry truecritic had a link to a You Tube video showing that a converter box didn't have a camera and mic.  (Thanks for the link).  Here is a link to that short video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUi3sA1gdfI .  It's worth watching just for the humor factor.  But the video was horrendous with poor lighting, no mention of brand name and other problems.  The comments were hilarious.  From that video, it has not been disproven that Magnavox boxes contain them.  We can't say the myth is busted just yet.  I'm a little surprised that truecritic was convinced from this particular video.

Chances are very good that the video I originally linked to was a fake and the guy glued these components on...that wouldn't surprise me on You Tube.  My son's buddy's dad has two boxes.  I  don't know the brands yet, but he's going to take them apart and see if they have them.  He's an electronics tech for Fermilab so he will know what to look for and how it's configured if there is one.  I'm hoping they are Magnovox because that's the brand in the original video and as you'll see below, Magnavox has a questionable background.

I did a little checking on Magnavox.  Their full name is Magnavox Government and Industrial Electronics Company.

Here's an excerpt from the Wikipedia entry for Magnavox:

...

The defense group, centered around Fort Wayne, IN, remained independent under the Magnavox Electronic Systems name, first under Philips and later in the Carlyle Group, until it was acquired by Hughes Electronics in 1995.[1]The three areas of business of the MESC operation during the late 80sand early 90s were C-Cubed (Command, Control, and Communication),Electronic Warfare, and Sonobuoys. When Hughes Electronics sold itsaerospace and defense operations to Raytheon, the former Magnavox defense operations were transferred as well.[citation needed] Shortly thereafter, Raytheon spun off the sonobuoy operation to form Under Sea Systems Inc, now Ultra-USSI in Columbia City, IN. The remainder of the operations now falls under Raytheon's Network Centric Systems in Fort Wayne, IN.

Among the defense products Magnavox manufactured the AN/ARC-164 UHF radio,AN/SSQ-53 series sonobuoys, AN/ALQ-128 EW equipment, AN/SSQ-62 seriessonobuoys, and the Advanced Field Artillery Data System (AFATDS).[2]

...

I didn't post the whole entry but at no point in the entry was the parent company referred to (Magnavox Government and Industrial Electronics Company).  I found that kind of weird as the entry goes into detail of the company's history and evolution.  But wikipedia is full of misinformation/disinformation.  What did jump out at me was the Carlyle Group and Ratheon.  Anyone familiar with the Carlyle Group probably knows why my suspicions are now piqued.  Ratheon is a major (if not the biggest?) defense contractor in the US.

Why is a government defense contractor making TV converter boxes that millions of households have to get in order to watch TV?  As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out whether the boxes have mics and cameras.  Now that I know a little history behind the company, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the claim is true.

One of the commenters at the debunker's You Tube video had an interesting link you might want to check out regarding this analog to digital conversion and cameras, mics in TV's.

Remember there is no such thing as a conspiracy theory.  It is just a theory that has been labeled as a conspiracy by someone who wants to debunk a theory with an adjective rather than factual proof or logic.  If detectives operated on that premise, no crimes would get solved.

Camera and microphone in digital TV converter box

Some (like me) were suspicious of these new TV converter boxes and the need to convert from analog to digital signal in the first place.  Their reason was "to free up airwaves for local emergency communications" (cops, FEMA, DHS, etc.).  Here is a link to a video showing the camera and microphone in a Magnavox brand converter box.

Related to this, it has been established that you can be eavesdropped on by the microphone in your cell phone even if the phone is turned off.  You have to remove the battery to circumvent this.

Here is a link regarding AMDOCS, the company with the contract for NSA surveillance/wiretapping equipment that has been monitoring EVERY call in the US.  There is a 'backdoor' built into the system allowing a third party to listen in.  It has been suggested that the White House secret codes regarding Air Force One may have been hijacked this way on 9/11/01.  They were looking for a foreign state mole in the White House who could have had access to these codes but they don't think it could have have been done by a single person.  Do a search on 'Mossad Mega' for more on this spy story.  It's an eye opener.

OK, back to the converter boxes.  Imagine you and your spouse/lover/gay friend/hand decide to get randy on the couch (or bed).  Well someone is watching and listening to you from that box sitting on top of your TV.  What other reason would there be to include a camera and microphone into a TV signal converter box? (and don't tell me it's an "ad targeting tool" which is the excuse you will hear from the manufacturers when the outrage reaches a crescendo).

You may think it's impossible to monitor that much information but they use data mining/meta tags to zero in on what they want and their computer files it away for later examination.

Mighty powerful blackmailing tool.  I believe many of our D.C. politicians are being blackmailed.

I have heard that some newer model TV sets have the camera/mic too...they are more difficult to find because they are located in a corner of your screen space and you'd have to dismantle the TV to find it.  But I don't know that for a fact.

If I hear more, I'll keep you posted.

HCR 6: NH solution to train wreck?

The New Hampshire state lagislature has introduced a bill, HCR 6, asserting its state's rights.  Basically it says the state will not recognize the federal government in matters where the federal government does not have specific authority or power as provided by the Constitution.

This looks like an excellent approach to stopping the runaway federal government.  If all states followed suit we'd regain control of our government immediately.  This is as sweet as it gets.

Here is an exerpt (emphasis mine):

That any Act by the Congress of the United States, Executive Order of the President of the United States of America or Judicial Order by the Judicatories of the United States of America which assumes a power not delegated to the government of United States of America by the Constitution for the United States of America and which serves to diminish the liberty of the any of the several States or their citizens shall constitute a nullification of the Constitution for the United States of America by the government of the United States of America. Acts which would cause such a nullification include, but are not limited to:

I. Establishing martial law or a state of emergency within one of the States comprising the United States of America without the consent of the legislature of that State.

II. Requiring involuntary servitude, or governmental service other than a draft during a declared war, or pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

III. Requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service of persons under the age of 18 other than pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

IV. Surrendering any power delegated or not delegated to any corporation or foreign government.

V. Any act regarding religion; further limitations on freedom of political speech; or further limitations on freedom of the press.

VI. Further infringements on the right to keep and bear arms including prohibitions of type or quantity of arms or ammunition; and

That should any such act of Congress become law or Executive Order or Judicial Order be put into force, all powers previously delegated to the United States of America by the Constitution for the United States shall revert to the several States individually. Any future government of the United States of America shall require ratification of three quarters of the States seeking to form a government of the United States of America and shall not be binding upon any State not seeking to form such a government; and

That copies of this resolution be transmitted by the house clerk to the President of the United States, each member of the United States Congress, and the presiding officers of each State’s legislature.

Sharpen your pitchforks...

...and light the torches.

From The Hill:

With economy in shambles, Congress gets a raise

                       By Jordy Yager
          Posted: 12/17/08 05:41 PM [ET]

A crumbling economy, more than 2 million constituents whohave lost their jobs this year, and congressional demands of CEOs to work forfree did not convince lawmakers to freeze their own pay.

Instead, they will get a $4,700 pay increase, amountingto an additional $2.5 million that taxpayers will spend on congressionalsalaries, and watchdog groups are not happy about it.

“As lawmakers make a big show of forcing auto executivesto accept just $1 a year in salary, they are quietly raiding the vault fortheir own personal gain,” said Daniel O’Connell, chairman of The SeniorCitizens League (TSCL), a non-partisan group. “This money would be much better spenthelping the millions of seniors who are living below the poverty line andstruggling to keep their heat on this winter.”

However, at 2.8 percent, the automatic raise thatlawmakers receive is only half as large as the 2009 cost of living adjustmentof Social Security recipients.

Still, Steve Ellis, vice president of the budget watchdogTaxpayers for Common Sense, said Congress should have taken the rare step offreezing its pay, as lawmakers did in 2000.

“Look at the way the economy is and how most peoplearen’t counting on a holiday bonus or a pay raise — they’re just happy to havegainful employment,” said Ellis. “But you have the lawmakers who are set up andready to get their next installment of a pay raise and go happily along theirway.”

Member raises are often characterized as examples ofwasteful spending, especially when many constituents and businesses in members’districts are in financial despair.

Rep. Harry Mitchell, a first-term Democrat from Arizona, sponsored legislation earlier this year that would have prevented the automaticpay adjustments from kicking in for members next year. But the bill, whichattracted 34 cosponsors, failed to make it out of committee.

“They don’t even go through the front door. They have itset up so that it’s wired so that you actually have to undo the pay raiserather than vote for a pay raise,” Ellis said.

Freezing congressional salaries is hardly a new idea onCapitol Hill.

Lawmakers have floated similar proposals in every yeardating back to 1995, and long before that. Though the concept of forgoing araise has attracted some support from more senior members, it is most popularwith freshman lawmakers, who are often most vulnerable.

In 2006, after the Republican-led Senate rejected anincrease to the minimum wage, Democrats, who had just come to power in theHouse with a slew of freshmen, vowed to block their own pay raise until thewage increase was passed. The minimum wage was eventually increased andlawmakers received their automatic pay hike.

In the beginning days of 1789, Congress was paid only $6a day, which would be about $75 daily by modern standards. But by 1965 memberswere receiving $30,000 a year, which is the modern equivalent of about$195,000.

Currently the average lawmaker makes $169,300 a year, with leadership making slightly more. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)makes $217,400, while the minority and majority leaders in the House and Senatemake $188,100.

Ellis said that while freezing the pay increase would bea step in the right direction, it would be better to have it set up so thatmembers would have to take action, and vote, for a pay raise and deal with theconsequences, rather than get one automatically.

“It is probably never going to be politically popular toraise Congress’s salary,” he said. “I don’t think you’re going to findtaxpayers saying, ‘Yeah I think I should pay my congressman more’.”

Swat Team conducts food raid in rural Ohio

On Monday, December 1, a SWAT team with semi-automatic rifles entered the private home of the Stowers family in LaGrange, Ohio, herded the family onto the couches in the living room, and kept guns trained on parents, children, infants and toddlers, from approximately 11 AM to 8 PM. The team was aggressive and belligerent. The children were quite traumatized. At some point, the “bad cop” SWAT team was relieved by another team, a “good cop” team that tried to befriend the family. The Stowers family has run a very large, well-known food cooperative called Manna Storehouse on the western side of the greater Cleveland area for many years.

There were agents from the Department of Agriculture present, one of them identified as Bill Lesho. The search warrant is reportedly supicious-looking. Agents began rifling through all of the family’s possessions, a task that lasted hours and resulted in a complete upheaval of every private area in the home. Many items were taken that were not listed on the search warrant. The family was not permitted a phone call, and they were not told what crime they were being charged with. They were not read their rights. Over ten thousand dollars worth of food was taken, including the family’s personal stock of food for the coming year. All of their computers, and all of their cell phones were taken, as well as phone and contact records. The food cooperative was virtually shut down. There was no rational explanation, nor justification, for this extreme violation of Constitutional rights.

Presumably Manna Storehouse might eventually be charged with running a retail establishment without a license. Why then the Gestapo-type interrogation for a 3rd degree misdemeanor charge? This incident has raised the ominous specter of a restrictive new era in State regulation and enforcement over the nation’s private food supply.

This same type of abusive search and seizure was reported by those innocents who fell victim to oppressive federal drug laws passed in the 1990s. The present circumstance raises the obvious question: is there some rabid new interpretation of an existing drug law that considers food a controlled substance worthy of a nasty SWAT operation? Or worse, is there a previously unrecognized provision(s) pertaining to food in the Homeland Security measures? Some have suggested that it was merely an out-of-control, hot-to-trot ODA agent, and, if so, this would be a best-case scenario. Anything else might spell the beginning of the end for the freedom to eat unregulated and unmonitored food.

One blogger familiar with the Ohio situation has reported that:

“Interestingly, I believe they [Manna Storehouse] said a month or so ago, an undercover ODA official came to their little store and claimed to have a sick father wanting to join the co-op. Both the owner and her daughter-in-law had a horrible feeling about the man, and decided not to allow him into the co-op and notified him by certified mail. He came back to the co-op demanding to be part of it. They refused and gave him names of other businesses and health food stores closer to his home. Not coincidentally, this man was there yesterday as part of the raid.”

The same blog also noted that the Ohio Department of Agriculture has been chastised by the courts in several previous instances for its aggression, including trying to entrap an Amish man in a raw milk “sale,” which backfired when it became known that the Amish believe in a literal interpretation of “give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away” (Matthew 5:42)

The issue appears to be the discovery of a bit of non-institutional beef in an Oberlin College food service freezer a year ago that was tracked down by a county sanitation official to Manna Storehouse. Oberlin College’s student food coop is widely known for its strident ideological stance about eating organic foods. It seems that the Oberlin student food cooperative had joined the Manna Storehouse food cooperative in order to buy organic foods in bulk from the national organic food distributor United, which services buying clubs across the nation. The sanitation official, James Boddy, evidently contacted the Ohio Department of Agriculture. After the first contact by state ODA officials, Manna Storehouse reportedly wrote them a letter requesting assistance and guidelines for complying with the law. This letter was never answered. Rather, the ODA agent tried several times to infiltrate the coop, as described above. When his attempts failed, the SWAT team showed up!

Food cooperatives and buying clubs have been an active part of the American landscape for over a generation. In the 1970s, with the rise of the organic food industry (a direct outgrowth of the hippie back-to-nature movement) food coops started up all over the country. These were groups of people who freely associated for the purpose of combining their buying power so that they could order organic food items in bulk and case lots. Anyone who was part of these coops in the early era will remember the messy breakdown of 35 pounds of peanut butter and 5 gallon drums of honey!

These buying clubs have persisted and flourished over the years due to their ability to purchase high quality organic foods at reduced prices in bulk quantities. Most cooperatives have participated greatly in the local agrarian economies, supporting neighborhood organic farmers with purchases of produce, eggs, chickens, etc. The groups also purchase food from a number of different local, regional and national distributors, many of them family-based businesses who truck the food themselves. Some of these food cooperatives have become large enough to set up mini-storefront operations where members can drop in and purchase items leftover from case lot sales. Manna Storehouse had established itself in such a manner, using a small enclosed breezeway attached to their home. It was a folksy place with old wooden floors where coop members stopped by to chat and snack on bags of organic corn chips.

The state of Ohio boasts the second largest Amish population in the country. Many of the Amish live on acreages where they raise their own food, not unlike Manna Storehouse, and sell off the extras to neighbors and church members. There is a sense of foreboding that this state crackdown on a longstanding, reputable food cooperative operation could adversely impact the peaceful agrarian way of life not only for the Amish, but homeschoolers and those families living off the land on rural acreages. It raises the disturbing possibility that it could become a crime to raise your own food, buy eggs from the farmer down the road, or butcher your own chickens for family and friends – bustling activities that routinely take place in backwater America.

The freedom to purchase food directly form the source is increasingly under attack. For those who have food allergies and chemical intolerances, or who are on special medical diets, this is becoming a serious health issue. Will Americans retain the right to purchase food that is uncontaminated by pesticides, herbicides, allergens, additives, dyes, preservatives, MSG, GMOs, radiation, etc.? The melamine scare from China underscores the increasingly inferior and suspect quality of modern processed institutional foods. One blog, commenting on the bizarre and troubling Manna Storehouse situation, observed that:

“No one is saying exactly why. At the same time the FDA says it it safe to eat the 40% of tainted beef found in Costco's and Sam's all over the nation. These farm raids are very common now. Every farmer needs to fully eqiped [sic] for the possibility of it happening to them. The Farmer To Consumer Legal Defense Fund was created just for this purpose. The USDA just released their plans to put a law into action that will put all small farmers out of business. Animals for the sale of meat or milk will only be allowed in commercial farms, even the organic ones.” December 3, 2008 7:09 PM

Sneak Peak Of Our New "Dollar"

Just found this on Pravda.  It is a 50 amero bank note.  The 100 amero has a picture of a pyramid.

I don't see any point in a Pravda journalist going to the trouble of making this up.  I figure we'll be seeing this in 2009.  RIP, USA.

http://english.pravda.ru/world/americas/02-12-2008/106779-amero-0

Edit:  Notice the picture on the right side of the note...it looks like Canada, the US and Mexico, i.e., the North American Union.

New Madrid Earthquake?

I was going to blog about this subject the other day but decided not to.  The WEB BOT project that I mentioned in a previous blog predicts two major earthquakes in December.  One in S. America and one in N. America.  One to happen in the 12th to 14th range and another a couple days later.  The latitude for the N.A. one is 32 -36 degrees range.  The US army just finished an exercise entailing a major quake in Calif.  FEMA just  finished a threat assessment of a major quake along the New Madrid fault line.  This got me studying eathquakes in N.A., specifically eastern US and particularly the New Madrid fault.  Earthquake activity has increased markedly since 2000 in the eastern US.  We even had one near Chicago a while back.  These have all been moderate earthquakes but they reach the threshold of reporting by the USGS.  The New Madrid earthquake of 1811 was an 8.1 on the scale.  It happened on a Dec. 11th.  (Many earthquakes happen around the spring equinox and the winter solstice).  It was followed by another major one in early 1812.  All of these things got me thinking about the overdue New Madrid fault line activity.  I saw this article today and it sent a chill up my spine.

Small Arkansas Earthquake Could Be A Warning

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081128/ap_on_re_us/arkansas_earthquakes;_ylt=AgUl263UG6J.Uyk6uQiqi92s0NUE

I guess you'd call this a prediction, warning or paranoid delusion.  Hope I'm wrong.  At any rate it's a heads up.  It doesn't hurt to have extra water and food on hand for any crisis, but in the event of a major quake along this fault line, it will damage water and gas pipelines because of the bedrock.  Believe it or not it would even cause structural damage in Chicago in buildings with non-reinforced masonry or wood walls.

Take it for what it's worth.

Drudge Report Update

For those of you who rely on the Drudge Report for your "news" here are the missing paragraphs from the story he copied/pasted (and gave no credit) from yesterday's Ria Novosti article "Russian Analyst Predicts Decline And Breakup Of USA".

"On the fate of the U.S. dollar, he said: "In 2006 a secret agreement was reached between Canada, Mexico and the U.S. on a common Amero currency as a new monetary unit. This could signal preparations to replace the dollar. The one-hundred dollar bills that have flooded the world could be simply frozen. Under the pretext, let's say, that terrorists are forging them and they need to be checked."

When asked how Russia should react to his vision of the future, Panarin said: "Develop the ruble as a regional currency. Create a fully functioning oil exchange, trading in rubles... We must break the strings tying us to the financial Titanic, which in my view will soon sink."

This wasn't a mistake because he included the last sentence that followed these paragraphs in the original Ria Novosti article.

Someone here at LP suggested I check out Matt Drudge's site for a good source of news.  I don't think so.  When a news outlet shapes the news by editing it to convey the viewpoint the outlet wants, it is not a good source of news, it is propaganda.  (Fox News?)  Plus it is terrible form for a journalist not to give credit to the original source of their news articles that they are printing verbatim.

The original article appears here:  http://en.rian.ru/world/20081124/118512713.html

Bank Shares Plummet Today

http://www.reuters.com/article/email/idUSTRE4AJ5QP20081120

US bank shares plummeted today.  All of the major banks have lost in the double-digit percentages.  Why is this important to us?  Because that piece of plastic we use to buy our gas and groceries will be useless when these banks go bust.  Our credit and debit cards are instruments in the fake money (in the form of debt) that these institutions provide.  Those cards are the end victims in the current "credit crisis".  Debit cards are included because they are issued by the credit card companies, not your personal bank.

There may (and probably will) come a time when your credit card is refused as well as everyone else's standing in line behind you.  They aren't going to issue a warning when they stop issuing credit.  They're just going to do it.  It will be instantaneous.

Many of us have a cashless lifestyle.  We buy our Starbuck's with plastic and don't carry much cash.  I recommend you have a stash of cash on your person and in your home in case this happens.  If you accompany a credit card bust with a "bank holiday" you might find yourself without any cash at an inconvenient time, especially if you are traveling.

Faked Iran documents re: nuclear program

The warmakers are at it again.  Same tricks, different day.  They're getting desperate for a bigger, more profitable war...one that wil involve Russia.

A RawStory.com investigative report exposes possible fraud in documents given to the IAEA pertaining to Iran's nuclear program.  These idiots are so stupid that one report was submitted with handwritten notes in the margin, however the original document that had aready been studied by IAEA officials had no handwritten notes in the margin when they first studied it.  No one would notice?

They tried this fraud with Iraq's supposed purchase of yellowcake uranium from Nigeria.  It worked well enough for Bush to keep up the lie in his 2003 innaugural address (and hence into war in March 2003).  Intelligence analysts (including Valerie Plame's husband) had told him back in October 2002 that it was not a reliable intel source and the info was likely bogus.  It has since been proven to be a forgery.  But if you repeat a lie frequently enough it becomes a truth, right?  Ri-i-i-ght...now drink your Kool-aid and shut up.

Here's the full scoop:

Another false flag attack looming?

On Oct. 1, President Bush deployed a battle hardened infantry brigade on US soil.  Their stated purpose was to provide assistance in a terrorist attack or natural disaster and to provide assistance in crowd control.

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_homeland_090708w/

They were slated to have an exercise during Oct. 15 - 20.  This was rescheduled (reason unknown) for Nov. 12 - 18.  The name of this exercise is 'Vigilant Shield '08'.  It's supposed to simulate nuclear attacks on three major cities.

http://www.northcom.mil/News/2007/083007.html

http://www.northcom.mil/News/2008/110508.html

There have been six world leaders who have warned that the US is in imminent danger of terrorist attack.  Three of these ominous warnings have come in the last 72 hours.  A couple of the warnings have alluded to "nuclear".  There have also been many anthrax related incidents happening lately.  On Oct. 1st, a law was passed that made makers of anthrax vaccines and other bioterror vaccines not liable from any side effects or deaths that may occur from their vaccines or if the vaccines don't work.

http://www.thejerusalemgiftshop.com/israelnews/politics/80-political/335-warnings-from-world-leaders-all-within-72-hours-.html

http://www.theage.com.au/world/warning-of-new-bin-laden-attack-20081109-5kxu.html

Note that on the morning of 9/11 there was a US military exercise involving multiple hijacked planes crashing into buildings in NY, DC.  The actual attack happened during that exercise.  The exercise had been inexplicably moved up from Oct. to Sept. 11 by Donald Rumsfeld.  It has since returned to an Oct. scheduling.  On 7/7 when the London subways were bombed there was a simultaneous disaster exercise involving terrorist bombings of London subways.  The bombings occurred during the exercise.  Point:  History has shown that actual attacks and exercises for that exact type of attack can and do "happen" simultaneously.

http://worldaffairsbrief.com/keytopics/9-11update.html.  Scroll down to Military Exercises and War Games sections.  BTW this page is an excellent source of information about what happened on 9/11.

The WEB BOT (more info at link below) has indicated 11/14 as a key day (give or take a day or two).  This may be the stock market crashing even further but it could be something else.  Something is going to happen to deeply affect us until March.  (By comparison, the 9/11 attack "emotional release period" lasted 11 days.)  Again it could be referring to the economy but a few key words suggest something else, something very physical (key words: loud noise...panic...vomiting...lose control of body functions).  Another key date is 1/26 right after the innauguration...note that Colin Powell refers to something happening on 1/21 or 1/22 "that we don't even know about."

Here's more info on the WEB BOT project and exerpts from the most recent report (very interesting stuff):

http://pimpinturtle.com/categories/WEB%20BOT.aspx

Here's a couple links about the milirary deployment:

"Lou Dobbs: Major Public Concerns Of Martial Law In The U.S. & Army Denies Claims" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyBaxm2oIHk)

http://www.aclu.org/safefree/general/37274prs20081021.html

It's odd that with all these warnings our threat level remains the same.  On Aug 6, 2001 President Bush received a specific warning in his daily briefing that Al Queda was planning an attack involving hijacked jetliners.  No increase in threat level or increase in airport security was implemented at that time either.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/10/august6.memo/  (copy/paste to browser)

These "vague, yet specific" warnings are very troubling.  If these guys know so much about this imminent danger how come they're not telling us more about it?  If you see the military doing exercises in your area Nov. 12 - 18 be very alert. Get in your car immediately and put as much distance as possible from the "exercise".

Vote machine flips Oprah's vote!

When Oprah Winfrey was voting the machine flipped her vote.  With her celebrity status and influence maybe attention will be drawn to this atrocious voting system, a direct result of the Fair Vote Act.

Never in the computer age has such a faulty "computer" passed quality control and been shipped in massive quantities...and the end user accepted it.  What if your computer acted like that?

Touch screen voting machines are flipping democratic votes to republican votes in four states now.  This problem has been reported during the last week but it's now appearing to be a nation-wide "phenomenon".  The machines in question are automatically flipping democratic votes to republican.  There has been ONE instance of the machine flipping from republican to democrat...turns out the dude that reported it was a republican operative and the vote switch could not be substantiated or repeated on that machine.

Please read the article at the link below that explains the problem and what you should do about it if it happens to you when you're voting.
